Raise a glass to the hardest working and certainly one of the most talented drivers in F1. Robert 'the kub' Kubica.

I hope the rumors are true and he ends up driving for the Scuderia sometime soon.

Some people might get angry reading your thread title, you might want to add "Spoler"........(okay, that was a weak one).

    Ross Brawn earlier:

"I feel extremely frustrated about today because we had a good car all weekend, and as a team we didn't perform well in Q3," said Brawn.

"There was a problem with Nico's car getting out of the garage. We knew the last thing we wanted was to have our two cars on the same piece of track, because if there had been an incident both cars would get caught up.

"So the plan was to split them, but when we came to release Nico's car we had a problem releasing it, and it left the garage 20 or 30 seconds later than we planned. So then we had both cars together.

"Plus, Nico was getting squeezed between Michael behind him and Rubens [Barrichello] in front of him, and we didn't manage it very well as a team.

"Michael was annoyed after the second or third lap got spoiled, but when I explained what happened he was okay - just frustrated. But I think all of us were frustrated today because we did have a reasonable car around here and, as you saw in Q2, we were looking forward to final qualifying and we cocked up."

Rosberg apologised to Schumacher after qualifying for holding him up, and said he too was a bit annoyed by what happened.

"For sure Q3 didn't go my way and that is why I am very disappointed, because I think at least it would have been a front row grid position today - and with the chance to go all the way to the front if I had got everything together.

"It is disappointing because it didn't go my way and just the whole Q3, the whole thing didn't go right. I never got into a rhythm because I was stuck in a bad place between two cars with Barrichello in front and Michael behind, so I could never push to get a rhythm.

"I never had a good lap until the last lap, where I then had a few issues with brake balance and made a mistake as a result, so it didn't come together. It is disappointing but that is it. We need to move on."

it is interesting isn't it. if anything, these 'rumours' are a fun read, and they seem to have smacked a few upside the head, thus they are driving accordingly...

well, to be fair, i don't think Monaco should be judged as the track to see if he's still the king. This can be said, taking into account that his last win here was...2001?

To be honest, i didn't know what to expect on Schumi's return. Times have changed, rules have changed, cars have changed. I really think Schumi's greatest asset, which is testing, testing, testing, and with it being banned this year, it's hurting him a lot. He's only jumping into the car an average 3 times every 2 weeks. Things was very different 3-5 years ago.

Another issue to consider, Schumi only confirmed to be racing this year last Christmas, and as a consequence, the car wasn't entirely built for him. Speaking of the car, Ross himself admitted that the car isn't up to par as the rest, RB, Ferrari, Mac, etc.

You can argue that Nico beat him a few times this year, but the thing is, Nico has been racing the past 3 years, unlike MS. I know, in some people's eyes, this is all just merely an excuse, but in reality, it's an excuse if MS doesn't be a WDC next year should Merc provide him a really good car, suited to his driving style.

This year, with the testing ban in place, it's a year for MS to learn...again.

He used to own Spa as well, see how well he does there first. If the answer is not very well then maybe Merc will be looking for a new driver for next year.

He certainly owned Spa as a driver, but Spa also requires a very fast car (unlike Monaco). So if he does not do well in Spa, I wouldn't hold that against him (unless Nico does well at the same time).

Ross has repeatedly said that the car they started the season with was underdeveloped and wouldn't be coming good for 5 to 6 races.
Bet against Ross, Michael and Mercedes at your own risk.
