    At least it's not the same weekend as the Le Mans 24h. So if Bruno gets a drive in '10, he could still drive in the 24h for Oreca - yipee!!!

    HS graduations are so over rated. He should just skip it and go with you to YUL!

    You said that was your next GP. FYI, I just checked and you can go from ORD to IST for $622 USD tax/fees inc. hope this link works:http://www.sidestep.com/s/savedflight.jsp?searchid=Tq_M2M&resultid=6bf2c0252ff04466cdabdc1beb6ac568

    Lufthansa is $750 with one stop/change in Dusseldorf. No F1 for us again - Monaco Historics all booked and paid for already, Le Mans done except for TGV tickets - it's not too early to get all your ducks in a row!

    Thanks Carol, you know your travel stuff. No surprise there.

    I take my travel planning very seriously (just like you) and this has HUGE implications on my whole plan for next year. Basically puts all my ducks in a row now.

    Had they not moved Turkey to a more tolerable month weatherwise, I would have skipped it and made some plan B: Was looking at Spa and also at Monaco, Historics or GP. 24 hours of Le Mans is also still on the list of things to do. Now I'll have to wait for your Historics shots. :)
    BTW: A good friend of mine who is also member of THE team might be going to Le Mans. If that happens, I'll make sure to get you in contact with him and his entourage. Good people all around. I owe them my Kimi visor. :)

    While tempting, we won't be using the nonstop flight: Gotta visit my family in Switzerland plus my new found friends at www.speedweek.ch :)

    I realize that the Turkish GP will be dull and all, but it will be the last time they run it there, so I gotta pick that one up before Bernie moves it to Swaziland or Oberammergauisbekistan.

    Andreas,

    Not a problem When I booked my room I noticed that a few hotels were already booked full or charging up to $2000.00 CAD

    I remember vividly paying like 360 USD a night for a shabby 2 * motel in Montreal.

    Compare that to exotic Istanbul where nobody gives a hoot about the race:

    $ 130 a night for a 5 * top of the line hotel.

    The last 2 Canadian GP's I went to I stayed in St.-Hyacinthe and St.-Jean-Sur-Richeliue. This time I am booked in Montreal proper. Walking distance to the Metro and complimentary transportation to and from the airport should keep me from getting another fast driving award from the QPP, like I got in 2006:(

    LOL

    Rumor has it that I'm still holding the fastest time through a speed trap in a Tuscan village...

    I got popped for 126Km/h in an 80Km/h zone. I guess I was still amped up as it was just after the race on Sunday when I got pulled over:D
