I just had a low oil pressure warning light show up several times on my dashboard as I was driving. Obviously, very disconcerting when that happens. I pulled over when I could and checked the oil level, and it was exactly where it was supposed to be, halfway between the dipstick marks. Once I shut of the car and restarted it, I have not seen the light come back. I am hoping it's just a faulty senor. Does anyone know where the oil pressure sensor is located and perhaps a part number for it? If anyone has experienced this problem before I would appreciate hearing from them. Any and all advice is welcomed.

    Thanks!

The sensors have had some issues so probably a sensor. BUT, checking the oil is a bit fiddly; did you check it correctly?

    The process:
    Engine at temp
Run 4500 RPM for 1 min
Idle for 2 min (at 3 min you must start over)
Check oil without turning off the engine

Thanks for the quick response Skidkid. Yes, I followed the procedure and checked the oil level correctly. I ordered the superseded oil sensor part, PN 304074. Hopefully, the sensor is accessible without having to take off too many parts.

Unfortunately not ! Requires removing inlet manifold on that side if I remember correctly. I had the same problem, (low pressure warning light) and wanted to put an oil pressure gauge on, to test pressure to see if the sensor was the problem, but couldn't. So changed sensor -problem fixed
