2011 Calendar of Automotive Events in Colorado

Jan 29th - Gilpin Casino car tour / meet.
For those who haven't heard, the Gilpin has converted their hotel into a "Motorsports theme". Help them celebrate by bringing your collector car up and parking in their VIP parking lot right in front of the casino. Lots of door prizes available including a bottle of Hedges Wine for each car that participates in the drive.
Time: Meet at Club Auto (11100 W. 8th Ave Lakewood 80215) at 10am if you would like to follow. We will be taking 6th ave which turns into Clear Creek Canyon Rd up to the Casino. Stay for an hour or all day!
Cost: No charge and open to all cars.

Feb 17th 2011 (Thurs evening) - Wine and your Valentine
What: Finally, an event you can bring your spouse too! Come enjoy a Prime rib dinner, dancing, preview of furs from Tsagas Furs in Cherry Creek, and open bar sponsored by Hops Brewery, Hedges Wine, Coyote Gold Margaritas, and DaveCo Liquors. Shuttle will be provided to the Sheridan Hotel with special rates. Details to come!
Time: 5:30pm - 9pm

Mar 17th 2011 (Thurs evening) - Danny Collins St. Patrick's day tribute party
What: Did you know Danny Collins or are you a racer? If so, this event is for you! Come out to meet some of the most famous racers from Colorado. Great food and open bar, special race cars on display, and the unveiling of the new Pikes Peak Hill Climb display in Club Auto.

Since the Colfax Cruise is not finalized yet, I am hoping they switch dates which will allow me to go to the Wild West Auto Fest. Any other shows I am missing?

 

Cars and Coffee Denver will most likely make an announcement by tomorrow that they are coming to Club Auto Colorado (11100 W. 8th Ave Lakewood 80215) every Saturday from 9am - noon. I am hoping we will be able to combine all of the other early Saturday morning meets into one place. The car scene in Denver has always been segregated into several groups trying to do their own thing which prevents anyone from having huge turnouts. I really hope Cars and Coffee Denver can fix this!

May 7th is the official start day.

 

Just recieved confirmation today that the Colfax Cruise will be on Sept 24th this year. I will try to edit the post but I don't think I have authorization.


As far as Cars and Coffee goes, this might be our best chance to finally have a weekly exotic gathering where everyone comes together rather then doing their own thing. They are looking for someone to provide breakfast and coffee at these events if anyone knows someone.

 

That was the goal but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Maybe it won't matter after everyone see's how much larger the official Cars and Coffee Denver will be this year. We are expecting 400 cars on May 7th and continue to have 200+ cars every week afterwards.

There will be a DJ, Automotive Vendors, and a very cool Airstream trailer selling breakfast and giving out free coffee.
