For those of you who are within driving distance of Fort Wayne, Indiana be sure to mark down Sept. 23,24, 25 2011. These are the dates of the 2nd Ferraris and Friends weekend.
If you missed it last year, you missed one heck of an event. Take a look at the video below:

The details of the event can be found at: www.ferrarisandfriends.com
This year we will be featuring cars manufactured in the State of Indiana. We already have a few Duesenbergs, Auburns, Cords and Stutz' committed. Last year we put 105 cars on the fairway. Our goal this year is 150! Let's see how many FChatters we can get to Fort Wayne in September!

Which is preventing Ferrari owners from taking a drive....I don't think so. :)

We were the highest in the land a few weeks ago.....something about a Refinery Upgrade or some BS.....

    Jimbo,

It's like a 9 hr drive each way. At my age I'd have to do it in installments. :(

This would make for a GREAT Ferrari getaway!!!

I hope to see some Chicagoans this year. :)

We have secured/covered parking at the hotel and if that is not enough, we can store cars overnight in a building with a security guard. All ya gotta do is get here.

Question Batman; how the hell did I come up with 9 hours each way????

    Maybe I can make it.

I think I can stay awake for 3 hours! Well, OK, for me it would be about 4 hours..........that's pushing it!

2011 Ferraris and Friends is about a month away. Check out our website at: www.ferrarisandfriends.com I'd love to see some fellow FChatters cruise over from Chicagoland. :) Registration is open. It's going to be another great weekend!
In addition to the Ferraris, we will have several unique cars to see as our featured cars are ones manufactured in Indiana. (Stutz, Dusenberg, Cord, Auburn, etc...)

One of the cars that will be coming to Ferraris and Friends:

The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Auto Museum will be loaning a 1932 Duesenberg J-476! One of five short wheelbase Torpedo Convertible Coupe bodies built by Murphy. Notable in the design is the Murphy hallmark, disappearing convertible top and the bare aluminum top of the body.
The Duesenberg Model J engine is a modified Lycoming straight eight, featuring dual overhead cams and four valves per cylinder. With a displacement of 420 cubic-inches, this engine produces 265-horsepower. The Model J chassis alone cost $8,500. This vehicle cost $15,000 new.

    Hope to see you there!

Interesting enough, I had the opportunity to get into the 'attic' @ the Museum of Science & Industry. They have a Model J unseen by the public just collecting dust. Many other amazing things stored away.

Would be a great club event to tour the 'bowels' of the museum. It can be done on special request!
