I'm not too familiar with all of the NL teams, but I think the Yankees/Tigers series will be a good one. I see the Rangers going to the World Series again, but I don't know who they would face.

If the Rangers end up facing the Tigers in the ALCS, I see the Tigers advancing. If it's the Yankees again, I say we win again.

i dont really understand why managers have to put their ace against the other teams ace even when the other pitcher is a better ace. verlander is in another league altogether and matching cc against him just wastes cc.

girardi had the perfect excuse after 1st game rain out. he could have just said cc wasnt ready on monday. that would have avoided admitting he believed cc cant beat verlander (which is true). he should have put aj burnett against verlander in game 3 as a sacrificial lamb and rested cc another day. yanks would have lost game 3 anyway and had a rested cc to tie it at 2-2. no problem winning game 5 with nova.

    now tigers in 4.

Cliff Lee and the Phillies are out. Good. That's what Cliff Lee gets for leaving his team and fans in Texas. Hope he enjoys watching his former team deliver an ass-whoopin to Detroit.

I don't think an a$$ beating is going to happen. Considering the Tiger's won every series they played against Texas this season, I don't see Texas walking all over them. Should be a good series tho. Im just glad to see them get past New York. Im from Michigan and now living here in Florida. Their are so many Yankee fan's down here that drive you nuts. Most of the one's I talk to think the ALDS was rigged because the league hate's the Yankees. Give me a break! They just can't admit they lost to a better team. GO TIGER'S!!

I can't believe the Yanks are out so soon. Sorry Philly fans but I'm glad the Cards took care of you --- that was an awesome game 5.

Texas seems to be taking care of Verlander. 3-0 Texas right now in the 5th. CJ Wilson is having a decent performance. He has gotten into a few trouble spots, but he worked around them.

And for those who think Texas is a dry state, well...the game is in a rain delay believe it or not.

Since the Rangers got rained out, I watched the Cards. Bottom of the 5th was ridiculous.

i'm still reeling about this. i don't often second guess tony larussa, because in the 15 years i've watched him manage the cardinals, he's proved himself to me. however, WHY DID HE KEEP JAIME GARCIA IN AFTER THE PRINCE FIELDER HOME RUN WHEN OCTAVIO DOTEL WAS READY IN THE BULLPEN????

(sorry, just had to vent that, :))

but albert is back on track, he's accounted for all 4 runs in tonights game so far, let's just hope the rally squirrel decides to make an appearance, :)

I had a similar feeling when Ron Washington kept Derek Holland in today when Scott Feldman was ready in the bullpen in the 4th inning. Derek gave up a 3-run blast to give Detroit the lead but at least Nelly came back and not only tied it, but made history with his walk-off grand slam.
