ahem....I think you'll find it's speedcore who gets a bit sensitive about that sort of thing, not me. I did a couple of laps out there yesterday...and whilst the atmosphere is great and it was a lot of fun, I don't think it's much of a circuit.

Great job Mark Webber, seems he is more comfortable with the reduction of grip ... so far. Hopefully Vettel with have to work for his results this year.

Well done LH and McLaren, and the Mercedes looks quick too. Unfortunately the Mercedes being quick proves that the driver makes little difference to the results (as does the lack of performance for Vettel, thus one could conclude that the MS Ferrari success years were caused by a car advantage. Yes in 96 and 97 MS elevated the level of the car but from 2000 on the car was doing all the work).

I also believe the pullrod front suspension with the current Ferrari will disappear as soon as possible. Currently the car suffers from lack of rear grip and often faults are caused by the other end and as we have discussed many times the pullrod design just doesn't work with the compromised high nose. I can only think they are using the "pullrod" as a rocker type system as it is horizontal and just could not be doing any pulling. The rocker system was the one of the earliest forms of inboard suspension and the problem with the design is the "pullrod" is that it flexes and thus the control of the wheel suffers.

Even if a new monocoque is required they have to bin that front suspension or right the whole season off.

It's funny that so many people are panicking after qualifying (though Ferrari does look uncompetitive...and that's putting it nicely). We won't know anything until the race later on...what if RBR is better over race distance than quali? What if MS makes a mistake at the start and Nico leaps him? What if Hamilton actually wins the race, sending fans leaping off the ledge?

Anything can still happen, including MS getting into P2 by the first corner. I'm looking forward to a great race and the return of the king. I think Ham/Schu/Button are top 3, but I don't know who will actually win (though I'm inclined to go with the order I typed above)

Would love to see Michael in top 3, but I think tire wear will prevent it. The speed is there, however.

First of, what a great season this promises to be.
If as i suspect, Lewis has his head on straight this season. Jenson does not stand a chance of beating him, (i mean if that was LH at his worst and JB at his best last year....).
However i would like to see MS up there this season. As for Vettel, unless Adrian Newey comes up with some awesome upgrade., the over rated Vettel will be the middle of the pack driver i think he is.
I would like tomorrow's order to be ...

    LH, MS, JB.

Whilst I feel Lewis is overall faster than Button, it would be unwise to rule out Button, tyre wear over race distance is a unknown factor, and we know Button is a lot kinder to his tyres.
