Does anyone know who I can talk to in Maranello or USA for that matter to find out about putting a deposit down for the new Enzo arriving in 2012?

I would imagine it will be like previous "super" Ferrari's launches .. that is .. "DON'T CALL US, WE'LL CALL YOU"

+1, if you don't already know who to call, you probably will not get getting on the list...

Short of marrying the Owners (Fiat Corp) daughter would there be a way to move toward getting on that list. The answer I'm hearing seems to overlook the fact that there must be some mechanism to get on the list because unless Ferrari has a 100% accurate 900 Psychic hotline how would they know who would want to be invited or talked to about a given supercar. Is it simply a matter of buying a couple of new Ferrari's? I have purchased a new Ferrari in the past.

Any real suggestions out there or is this a do not answer this type question issue.

They have far more buyers waiting than cars they will make. They are going to contact the long term 'power buyers' first and offer them allocations.

If , for some crazy reason, those people turn down placement then they will go to the next tier down...etc.

Do you live in the US? Are you within a dealers boundaries? If so, you need to contact that dealer and tell them you are very interested.

The short answer, in addition to what Anunakki said, is that you need to establish a relationship with your dealer.

Your best chance at this point would be to buy a 458 Challenge car and campaign it during the 2011 Challenge Series season. Once you start campaigning a Challenge car you pretty much move to the top of that dealership's list. If you have a company, it wouldn't be a bad idea to sponsor your dealership's racing program.

AND, they won't be called "Enzos"

I don't believe that was a real criteria for all of the markets. I think there were several people who bought Enzos new and never owned an F40, F50 or 288. It's more about what kind of relationship you have with your dealership.

Of course I could be wrong..

There is a few things to can do to maybe get fast-tracked on to the invite list.

    1. Become a highly respected rock musician, with a whole host of high selling classic albums and a long history of being car enthusiast (in the mould of Eric Clapton, Nick Mason, Rod Stewart or Jay Kay).

    2. Buy a ex-F1 Ferrari, or some other multi million dollar historic ex-racecar on the Factory Corse Clienti program, and run it at Official events for a few years.

    3. Buy all of the Super Ferrari's, preferably from Ferrari Dealers, then send them to Marranello to be reconditioned by the factory.

    4. Buy a selection of rare recorded breaking priced Classic Ferrari's from Ferrari backed auctions.

    5. Become one of the top racing drivers in the world, then get the Ferrari to sign you to race in F1.

    6. Marry Fernando Alonso, and when he gets his delivered, ask nicely and he just might let you drive his..

    7. I think your best bet might be to take this route though. Wait until the next super Ferrari has been released to the market for a while, and buy one at a large premium.

+1 I have heard that your relationship with a dealer doesn't matter, you must be a customer known by the Italian parent. #s 1-7 above are all ways of getting noticed.

Move to China and start pestering the dealer now. When we lived there, we were told it would be rather straight forward to get the MC-12C. They're looking for people to take delivery.

IIRC when the Enzo buyers were selected the average number of Ferraris currently owned by those who said "yes" was 7 (not including the Enzo).

So, if things are the same today, and you currently have seven Ferraris in the garage, you could call yourself "average" in their target market ;)

Always was interested in knowing what the median of that data set was. I know 3 original Enzo owners that have 20+ Ferraris in their collections.

Somewhere a list of the "statistics" was published. Perhaps 8 or 10 data points. Sorry, don't recall more of the info, it has been a number of years.

The reason I mention this is because if you purchased the 288, you were probably offered to purchase the F40. If you purchased the F40 then you were probably offered to purchase the F50. If you purchased the F50 then you were offered to purchase the Enzo. Therefore it shows that you have developed a relationship with Ferrari and are an almost "sure sale" so they offer you a slot to buy the next. Dealerships only get a certain alotment so they are going to offer the opportunity to those they know are good to make the purchase.

So in short, if you were offered a build slot for the 599 GTO and made the purchase, chances are good that you will be offered the next supercar. I agree with everyone else that you don't call them they call you and if they call you better answer.

That makes very good sense. So unless I've been buying Ferrari's on a regular basis I don't really have any chance oh well. Is it the same if I want a GTO or a 458 Italia?

The only Ferrari I ever bought was directly at the Ferrari Factory (Maranello) when I lived in Modena, Italy. They actually let me come in twice during the build operation and see the car as it was being built!

Oh well I guess I'll have to go over to Lambo again they'll let you buy anything that you hot little wallet will handle
