Depends on what you consider "vast". Most people will tell you it's only a 1 - 2 sec per lap diference over a regular boss. In an open track/driver ed situation, no big deal. In a competitive event, 1 - 2 seconds is a hugh difference.
I've driven both on the same track, back to back. 2 seconds maximum difference and it's all tire. The regular Boss is better balanced and more predictable, which is a good thing for novices.

^^^ Excellent!! I never really cared for Mustangs other than the classics and the '80s LX model but the new ones I really like. Speaking of the '70s Boss 302 a friend back in highschool bought the exact car as his very first car, his was red though.
