Wankers! It was close though - *Almost* looked like he'd simply made a blinding getaway - Until we saw it from Freds onboard, as evidenced by the "Capture King". [New moniker for Speedy? ] Cheers, Ian
Yeah it's like that in many countries around the world that require English feeds. The local station can pick between SKY or BBC commentary. Americans usually do their own thing when it comes to sport so SPEED gets their own crew but they could use SKY/BBC if they wanted too. Same here, the local coverage does it's own thing and then they switch to SKY with 5mins to go.
Interesting - Didn't know that. Thanks yet again! I guess Speed pays less for the "raw" world feed (+ their "talent") than they would have to for the BBC or Sky commentated feeds?
i watched both the bbc and the speed coverage (first hour of speed or so) and speed was adamant he didnt jump it, they went back a few times and looked at it. i think he honestly just timed his start so perfectly and got the perfect launch that it looked that much like he jumped it in real time. speed showed it frame by frame and it didnt show him having moved until the lights were out.
Another major ferrari incident just outside the Spa circuit the night before race day...rip to the driver and passenger. Could've been worse for Alonso and like domenicali put it in the post race interview, "Have to always look into the positive in life." Image Unavailable, Please Login
No sir! Here's the *perfect* capture from our own in house Capture King - Photographic evidence if ever there was....... EDIT; My bad - Not Freds onboard. Obviously McHam's! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well Maldonado did admit on Sky that he let the clutch slip and jumped the lights And speed core's capture shows half his car over the line before lights out so...
It seems to be the son of a colleague of the driver...the father asked if his son could go for a ride in his 430 after Saturdays qualy. Just terrible, terrible news.
Wow what a terrible crash that is. It's easy to see how both occupants were probably killed. Not laying blame, but yet another Ferrari taken from this world by *likely* stupid driving.
What are you talking about? Herbet and Hill aren't boring as **** for you? Jordan/DC/the other dude JAke? lol do a way better job pre/post race. Martin doesn't have the edge he used too because he has been out of racing for a long time. DC destroys him on every level as the "technical" dude in the commentary pairing. Where exactly does Sky do anything better? Well besides the coverage lasting all day
Grosjean given a one race ban...given his starting woes this year it will make him think about his actions.
Good decision. http://www1.skysports.com/formula-1/news/12433/8044861/Grosjean-gets-one-race-ban also Maldo gets 10 places!
Jordan and DC's childish squabbling was really annoying. Jake is good, I admit he is better than the SkySports equivalent. Martin is still a legendary commentator and still produces useful insights no matter how long he's been out of a Formula 1 car. Sky also have Anthony Davidson who stopped racing in 2007 which is only a year before DC so that makes no difference. Plus I think David Croft (Crofty) is a good commentator and actually gets stuff right, and he doesn't have annoying voice like a few commentators seem to do. So yes to get SkySports F1 is quite expensive but I think the overall package with the GP2/GP3 races that are shown before the F1 and the Porsche races too it is worth it. They also show previous races from this season and old races from the next track. I haven't seen one of them in a while but for example when the Monaco GP was on they showed races from 2006 to last year.
Put those two in a "crash off" for the rights to drive NASCAR. You really have to question their drving skill level for F1. While both are fast enough, they don't seem to possess the skill level to avoid taking others out when attempting a pass. They drive like I do in Forza....
I seriously beg to differ, given the evidence on show and by his own admission, but feel free to believe the Speed guys.
