Interesting tidbit on ESPN this morning, the '04 draft is the only one with more than one multi Super Bowl winning starting QB (Eli and Big Ben).
I don't think Romo can run a Payton offense, it takes timing and trust - neither of which he has - that ALL of his receivers will be WHERE they are supposed to be WHEN they are supposed to be there - that is the key to what I will call the New Orleans run-and-shoot offense. I also don't think Dallas will get any better with Romo under Center. I won't say he is a bad QB - but some QB's have 'it', and some don't - and it's pretty obvious he don't have 'it'.
If Romo was to become a free agent - who would want him (if anyone), and how much would they be willing to pay him? I cannot think of anyone that would NEED him, let alone WANT him (at a price).
Someone would snatch him up as a backup. If someone gave VY a shot, they'd hop all over Romo. And without the baggage.
You don't think Romo's asking price would be a bit higher than 'Mr. 2 on the Wonderlic'?? And Romo has baggage - but it is on the field, not off the field.
Glove Quinn might be the most underrated player on the Texans. Kid has been great. Edit: If Danieal Manning keeps this up, he could be our saviour tonight.
the Rams grab mediocrity from the claws of victory this is a big game (both teams 7-1), and it's raining cats and dogs in Chicago. good stuff.
It definitely is. Although I've yelled at my tv twice hoping Martin will take a knee in the end zone. You just can't do that crap in this weather. Play it safe.
I think we'll know at the end of tonight whether or not the Bears are legit, or if they make the playoffs by default and go out in the wildcard game.
not the prettiest win ever but nice game by the Texans. IMO all NFL games should be at night, in the cold, during a sideways rain storm
Is there any team in the NFL that is a clear-cut SB-winning choice? I don't think I see one. Both Houston and Chicago have no WR depth - or even a solid #2 option. Other teams don't have the defense. GB has no real running option. NE has little defense. SF is too inconsistent on offense but is loaded. Right now, to me, it looks like the best teams playing right now are Denver and Atlanta (even with a loss today). Pending how Pittsburgh does.
Didn't realize my ESPN app was showing next week's schedule. Now it makes sense. Image Unavailable, Please Login
