2012 NY-Tri-State Spotters Thread

Saw a black Maserati GranCabrio at 35th and 9th on Saturday, sounded pretty good.

 

A customer of mine at the pharmacy had his Rosso Fiorano F430 with him today.
I never knew he was a fellow owner until I saw his key on the counter!

Caught a glance of what looked like a black Koenigsegg 308 on Hylan Blvd and Burbank Ave about 5:30pm tonight. Had wide black rear wheels and a wing.

Not entirely certain if it was real or kit.

Belong to anyone here?

 

Saw him again Wednesday night on Richmond Road near Old Town/Dongan Hills area.

 

Topless red 328 with tan interior, flying on that gorgeous turn that links the Cross Island Pkwy to the Whitestone Expwy, around 5:10PM today -- oh, the smile/smirk on the driver!

 

Heard then saw a glimpse of a FF on Park Ave. this afternoon. Sounds good.

 

Last Week:

Brown Mercedes SLS AMG near Grand Army Plaza in Park Slope on Sunday. My first spot in the wild, absolutely beautiful car in that color combo

Black Audi R8 v10 in the parking garage at the 34th street street exist of the Midtown Tunnel. There is usually a Bentley Continental Flying Spur parked in that spot
Yesterday:

2 B7 RS4 sedans, one parked on 23rd between 5th and 6th and one on 26th and Madison

Silver Brabus Smart Car parked on 26th and Lexington. I've never seen one before and didn't know any made it into the U.S.

Today:

Caught a glimpse of a black Ferrari FF on 3rd Ave in the high 20s. The only reason I saw it was because I heard a really loud engine up ahead. I didn't get a good look unfortunately.

Was going to an early dinner in astoria, queens on 4/15, around 4 pm. A beautiful red enzo rumbled by down Steinway St. First time seeing one in person. Quite a beauty.

 

around 415-430ish on RT 4 in Paramus, white murcie roadster

 

Red 458 on Ocean Ave. in Spring Lake around 1 p.m.

 

Confirmed it's a Koenigsegg 308, saw it again today and went over for an up close look. It's a QV with Euro bumpers. Not sure if it's turboed. Not my sort of thing with the fender flares and the wing on the rear lid, but to each his/her own.

 

Excuse my ignorance, what's a Koenigsegg 308?

 

I think that he meant a Ferrari 308 modified by Koenig.

Yup, they are/were like Ruf is to Porsche. Back when 308s were coming off the production line, they had a body kit and a turbo setup for the 3x8s.

Have seen 3 Maseratis in the Fairfield/Caldwell area over the last few days. One new Grancabrio, and two QPs.

followed by some Porsche whatever that model.

not sure if there was a meet, but flushing usually hard to see these cars.
