I got 6 cars and that's why mileage is low. The reason most people sell their cars to dealers instead of trying to sell private is so that they dont have to deal with people that just want to waste their time or ask stupid questions. I get it now.
Isn't that about the average for most Ferrari. I rarely see many with more than 1k a year. I would say this is spot on for most. I barely put 800 miles a year on mine.
Not just Ferraris but other exotics usually are not driven much to keep value high but some people just have a lot of free time to hate on just anything that some else owns. It's the first time in my life I see someone thinking It's bad to have low miles on a Ferrari... I'm looking to buy a Aventador and will not consider anything with more then 15k miles. The more miles the more wear a car will have.
Scary low miles ? In the words of Arnold Drummond “ what chew talkin bout Willis” Come on Man. 13k is a totally respectable number for this kind of car.
Mileage doesn’t dictate the condition of the car it’s more based on the owner I’m sure an owner with one prized car will take care of the car completely different to a multi car owner
I wonder what he would’ve said about my one owner 27-year-old 348TB that I sold with less than 1950 miles?
At some point (to the earlier comments) super low mileage car isn't always a selling feature if you intend to drive it. Regular service and 1K (or even 2K) a year in driving is pretty reasonable to expect no big challenges. A trailer queen can come with its own challenges - seals get comprised, gaskets can dry, critters can nest. Its not always the case of course, just like it's not always the case that a car with 5K a year wasn't perfectly maintained and cared for by its owner. I think its just big giant forum with a bunch of wavering opinions on what the perfect car looks like.
So not true. ALL model years of 458 can have gearbox issues. Later models just have different issues but the internal seals can fail at any time. Getrag problems
mvga 1987: I own two Ferraris and I am seriously interested in acquiring a 458. May I ask you a few questions. Do you have the original window sticker or a copy of the build sheet? Do you have service records to document that the car has been properly serviced over the past 12 years. How do I get a Carfax for this car? Has the car ever had any paintwork? What are the date codes on the tires? Since I am 3,000 miles away, would you take your car to the dealer for a PPI at my expense? I look forward to you addressing all of my questions.
