    Thanks for the pics.

I've been to Keels & Wheels a couple of times, but this is a new and competing show?

Did Keels & Wheels lose the Worldwide Auction to this show/location?

Worldwide Auction did move from Keels and Wheels to this new venue.
This is only the 2nd year for this Concours. There is something political behind the scenes that caused the split and start of the new Concours. They have managed to schedule this and Keels and Wheels on the same weekend both years, not sure if that is on purpose but it does split the show cars so that both show are smaller.

Is this a pic of the red F40 they bought and had to basically repair everything?

Wow...I'm surprised they went with the black and not the red. It looks good in the pic though.

RHD, in and of itself, does not make one authentic.

I only ask, because I've seen really good recreations, the best being RHD.
The red car appears to me (in the very limited picures shown here) to be one of those very good licensed continuation/recreations.

Not that it really matters, it doesn't, I'm just curious. I know that Risi had an original GT-40 in his collection many years ago. Houston certainly has enough very wealthy car people, etc., to have originals in the wild.

From the few I've seen, authentic cars show their age in the interiors. They are also mostly north of $2-3MM, so very few cruising around these days.

    Looks like a great time!!

I wasn't trying to insinuate RHD make it real. I just thought it was a cool feature.
The car display descibed its racing history as a real Gt40.
I am no expert on these cars, it's just my impression that it's real.

All of the Shelby Cobras and Mustangs appeared to be real. 2 of the Cobras were competition Cobras. There was a lot of money in cars in that section and the rest of the show for that matter.

How do you not restore an F40 to original condition?.... Leave it to those guys. Black wheels, really?

    NICE!!

I'd like to see another some day.

Those are my favorite American cars by far, and exactly what I would have built if I were to purchase a continuation/recreation type of car.
