2013 edition 918 spider turbo s

Saw one of these yesterday, thinking these may be a collector item at some point ?
Sticker said $137 K, website says $134 K seems like a fair deal with 4 K miles on it.
So the deal was you have to buy one of these to get on the list for a real 918 ? I don't follow P car sales that close .... But it sure is a pretty car.

You didn't have to buy one in order to buy a 918.....you had the privilege of buying one if you bought a 918! Brilliant marketing of selling a car to tie 918 owners over until their real car arrived.

 

It's unique and rare but I dunno how collectible it'll be. Porsche does so many special editions it's nearly impossible to keep up. Personally, I'd rather bet on the 50th Anniversary 911 with a proper 3 pedal and houndstooth interior.

 

Nice car but not sure it will be a collectible....
