We need to get the American into the race seat there to let him show what he can do...Alex Rossi that is...
Is he moving to Red Bull I'll say it again....you can't run mid-pack and win a championship. As one who believes what is good for Ferrari is good for F1, something must change Bill
I disagree. At least it worked out with Massa crashing into Rosberg, took out a car that probably would have finished ahead of Alonso.
+1 He hasn't had a single front row starting position all year. Not one. It's impossible to win a title battling from 5th or lower on the grid. It's a miracle and a testament to Alonso's racecraft that he's even in the mix.
I don't hate him...I know the car sucks but he is their test driver now so best he gets one year behind the wheel there to learn the tracks before he moves to a team with a real car... MB
Indeed. But he still pushes for a win every time. Just couldn't do it today with wing and KERS problems. But other than their past alternator problems, look how good they are. RB doesn't even make cars, and they've been kicking Ferrari's butt for years now. Awesome alternative, especially for those of us who speak spanish. What channel was that? Thx. Are you kidding yourself? Alonso was mostly lucky to have that lead, and luck doesn't last forever. I'd say we have a better chance to get hit by lightning than Alonso or Ferrari winning anything this season . But next year with the new engine, all bets are off. Finally, why the hell did Raikkonen stop in the middle of the track? Nobody has said anything. A penalty coming for lack of fuel???
F1 reports Ferrari was fined 15,000 Euros, and Grosjean penalized 20 seconds for the contact with Button, which conveniently leaves them both where they finished in the race anyway http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2013/7/14856.html
It was a team error. The team did not reset the DRS between Q and the race. In Q the driver need not be a second behind another car to deploy it.
A simple small let off of the throttle by Massapeal would have saved both of their behinds. Its not like they were side by side. Sometimes you have to assume the guy in the next car can exercise common sense. Nope; A typical idiot Webberish move. Its called self preservation. Plenty of world caliber drivers exercised that discretion in this very same race.
Nice summary of the race and Ferrari's issues etc... BBC Sport - Gary Anderson: Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari and scrapping DRS
