No love lost. Just after he signed on Flav was leading some friends through the facilities and was asked "who are those guys working over there?" Flav: "no one. Just engineers" Things went down hill from there.
I'm worried that this Chinese track was unique and soon we will see the RBs dominating again once we return to the usual "rear grip is everything tracks". Apparently the RBs struggled at China because they were pushing the fronts because of their clever defuser giving too much rear grip. Thus does that imply that Ferrari does not have enough rear grip and will struggle on other tracks? Reference: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/22147074 Pete
I do not know if this is true is that he tells, but it my air in big fan of red bull is Gary Anderson lol
My post though was about how the Chinese track may have suited our Ferraris and they might struggle once they return to the usual tracks due to lack of rear grip. I hope this is not true though. Pete
This year's Ferrari is a weapon, Rory must have made a quick visit, he's head and shoulders over Newey. Too many people give Newey credit for his designs but Rory always had his number when he was around. I'm hoping his legacy is starting to pay dividends
I have a bet that Vettel will win the WDC this year but as things look so far I'm pretty sure I'm going to loose that one. And in all likelihood I'll be happy about it as Alonso will bag the title. Malaysia was an anomaly, Alonso should be leading the WDC at this point and I'm sure he will in a week from now.
Back on China: The FIA has given Webber a penalty for his crash. As I stated earlier that was 100% his fault. No ifs and buts.
Unlike last year, the Ferrari is clearly one of the top cars on the grid. Last year, Alonso was in the race for the WDC because he finished races while others had problems. This year, he clearly has one of the top cars (along with Lotus and RBR). The significance of him pushing to pass Vettel prior to him pitting was a statement to Red Bull (and payback for being brake-tested in Malaysia).
Gotcha i was referring to the comments made in the link. Ferrari does look pretty strong after all but red bull always seem to advance their cars the best throughout the season. How many times has alonso been leading the title chase mid season only to see red bull come storming back. Lotus is looking good too thanks to Kimis efforts.
100% ?? So NO other driver was involved that could have confused the situation ? Like 4rephil said, Webber thought the surrender monkey(bloody Clarkson!!) was going to let him past being a sister team, JEV just cut back and that's all she wrote, could he have avoided it, sure, he only had to wait for the next DRS zone but he had the Hun up his clacker and we know how much trust there is there
It was a cr@p passing attempt by Webber. The guy desperately needs to get out of that team, it's destroying him. If I was Mark I would get out right now, yes leave the team mid season. He's better off retiring that looking like the an idiot as he is now. I feel for him but he's not happy in that team. Pete
He won't do that as it would instantly limit his chances for any trophies, aka as the Barrichello syndrome.
i don't agree. He had an offer from Ferrari and they look okay currently ... IMO he really should have taken that offer. But yeah I think he feels like you said. Pete
You are right about the Ferrari offer (which I wished he would have taken). But how would that be different from RB? It is team Seb vs team Alonso. As it should be at the highest level of the sport where every point counts.
True but at least he is not getting publically embarrassed with RB saying they have equal treatment, no team orders, but internally they obviously do and this makes Mark look like an idiot. Lets face it, his time has passed, he's no longer going to be a number 1 unless he buys his own team. At Ferrari he would be working with a mate and he would win a few races until he hangs up his helmet for good. Pete
Unlike some other teams with real racing tradition RB is not yet 50 years old so we can hold off with a colonoscopy.
