2013 FORMULA 1 ROLEX AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX: RACE *** SPOILERS ***

So, when is this race on? The formula1 website actually states it was supposed to be on 4 minutes ago.......

The Countdown here tells me 2hr 7min left before the race.

Looking for a nice race to start the season. Any predictions on who will cause the first crash of this season? My guess is a tangle between Grosjean, Di-Resta, and/or Button.

I'm expecting Vettel to take a victory in the opener. I would love to see Hamilton hit the podium but am worried about the reliability of the Mercedes so my hopes are not set to high. Webber to hold a podium with Alonso landing in the top 5. Kimi to make a solid charge into the 4 - 6th position area. Sutil is one I want to watch this race to see if he can move up into the top 10 towards 8th or so.

I've never been good at predicting so let's just have a good race.

 

Lulu and Massa starting alongside eachother has the potencial of a very interesting start of the race and season

 

If the Ferrari's are as fast starting as we have seen in recent seasons, things could all get very tight going into turn 1, especially if Webber has one of his sluggish get-a-way's..

Vettel - its going to be a long race.....shocking. Said it only 2 times to SKY in his first real interview before the drivers parade

 

I hope this race will be more exciting than the GSP vs Diaz fight...round 5 in & waiting for that flash of pow.

 

Tires will be key early. Im betting by lap 5 we will be seeing changes. Graining on most of the red stripers.

 

Pace on medium will be everything and not losing too much as the softs grain and wear out!

 

Looks bright n dry on Sky.

They also reiterated how teams will struggle to stretch out the tires for a 2-stopper. Most will do a 3-stopper with Brundle jokingly saying some teams were forecasting 7-8 stops lol.
