2013 NY Tri-State Spotters Thread

Red on tan 355 Spider, top down, parked on the east side of Hudson, right before it crosses 8th and turns into Bleecker, around noon (saw it there several weeks ago.) Also saw a black 991S Cab in the same area.

F12 makes the 575 look tiny.

 

Black-tan 458 coupe at American Mall today

 

Hey, that's my Silverstone 458 (two cars up from the F12) in post 352.

I almost nailed my rear diffuser backing up to that curb.

 

Blue F430 Spider and dark grey Aston Martin Vantage on Rt. 17 in Paramus, but a friend of mine had the spot of the day:

Red Ferrari Enzo and black Lamborghini Murcielago back-to-back on 17 in Ramsey.

 

Black McLaren 12C (NY plates) on 17 South in Paramus this morning. I believe it's Classic Car Club Manhattan's car.

I saw something like that at Lime Rock Park today - it was very cartoonish - very much like someone cobbled together a kit car to look like a race car to drive on the street to garishly shock folks. I saw a kit car 917 Porsche in Salzburg a few months ago that had street plates on it.... that was as bad, but in a different way

Ha Ha, my reaction on reading the post was "Oh, boy, time to grab some popcorn!". Your method of handling it is probably better (i.e. shorter and sweeter, the "one picture is worth a thousand words" approach) than how I might have responded.

Nicely done!

PS I love the brake discs glowing a cherry red at night!

 

The cool thing is because the KERS system is working the rear brakes remain cool/unused.

I saw one yesterday as well eastbound on the LIE! Looked really nice.

 

Saw a few guys heading up to the Exotics4Life event at Monticello today:

Yellow Gallardo Spyder, green LP560, orange McLaren 12C Spider, grey McLaren coupe, grey Aventador and silver VRT Porsche GT3

All were cruising up Rt. 17 north in Ramsey this morning

 

MD plates... Oh boy. Scary.

 

Money and intelligence does not always equal good taste.

 

I was at the Corvette Show at Garden State Plaza today...a few exotics stopped by:

Yellow Gallardo 550-4 Spyder
Silver Ferrari 550
Blue/white SRT Viper

 

Black Cali, in a parking lot just south of the LIE, by exit 37, ~!0:30AM. Looked good!

There's a white-cream, early 911 on display at Porsche of Roslyn (not listed on their site.)

 

Near the FDR Library... First time I've seen one.
