so many cars have a animated/cartoon + japanese/asian look to them, not entirely a fan i have to say this viper the back end looks more modern, it's not bad ....the front a little to much bass-mouth IMO and headights a bit to sunken & LEDs look cheap ...needs more cow bell!
I saw the new Viper on the road yesterday (going in the other direction so no pic), and I am pleased to report it looks A LOT better in real life. I now officially declare that I like the car!
The first one was sold this past weekend in OC. California at the Barrett Jackson auction. It went for 300K. It looked good in person.

Looks great from those angles in that color scheme. I hope someone quickly comes out w an aftermarket driving light setup
I owned a 2009 600 hp Viper. I loved and still do the exterior looks. I found the Viper to not be really that quick at least as I expected. The major problem for me was how poorly the chasis drove. It always felt unsure of itself. I kept it less than 6 months, maybe 3 months then dumped it. I hope the new car drives better. If it does I may add it to the bunch. I have never been a fan of American cars. But that has changed with the 2009 ZR1 and Ford GT. They are awesome cars to drive and as good as or better than anything Europe has to offer. I always loved European cars better but now I am not so sure. I even like the Shelby Mustang. Great car to drive although it has low technology underpinnings which are apparent very quickly. A very fun car to drive. My Shelby is the 550 hp I have not driven the 650 hp model yet. I have high hopes for the new viper. Lee

I love this car but that's a little steep. I'd buy it at $85k... But for $120k I'd rather have a 911 turbo or an Audi R8. It competely blows away any Corvette or Mustang... But I'm sorry, no Dodge is worth $120k
Agreed but I think the Viper market is more skewed to the Vette and Stang type buyer. I doubt many folks are cross-shopping them or even the Nissan GTR for that matter.
This car is going to be a GREAT buy at that price. It already had super car performance and now you add in the technology and quality in the interior... this car will be a great deal. I thought for sure this car wouldnt come in 120k even for the base.
Spot on. When I first saw a photo of the first Viper (1992) my reaction was, "Wow! I gotta have one." I bought a '93 and followed that with a '96, '01 an '03. Lots of fun and pure raw driving. When I first saw the photo of the new Viper, my reaction was, "Wow! I already had one." Dodge (SRT) could have done a much better design. All the other changes---interior, engine and chasis---they made are very positive, but the outside lacks the "wow" factor and "got to have it" excitement of the original.
