Not quite as exciting as Corvette news but far more important to Chevy's success will be the next Silverado. I hope this is the base/work version of the dash else they learned nothing from the Ford and Dodge interiors. Yikes... http://www.insideline.com/chevrolet/silverado-1500/2014/spy-photos-2014-chevrolet-silverado-interior.html Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The interiors in the new GM trucks are really going to be spot on.......finally There has been a major focus on spending more $$ on the interiors, and it really shows.I think you'll be in agreement.
Doesn't look that great to me. But I've never been a fan of the GM interiors. Looks like it has steering wheel controls, which would push it away from being a base model. Time will tell.
I hope you're right but to me it looks like they cut a big hole in the dash to allow easy change/upgrade of the audio/HVAC/nav controls without regard to giving it a "finished" or integrated look. The center reminds of an enlarged version of the Trailblazer's center, which isn't a good thing IMHO. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thats clearly a base or close to base interior. Just look at that display. Personally, I thought my 08 GMC Sierra SLE had a great interior.
Looks tighter and more cramped then the interior of the current generation and that is tight compared to the Ford or the Dodge. I have been shopping for a new truck and initially the Silverado was my first choice as I hated the Ford modular motor and unless you went with a diesel the Dodges never seemed as reliable, but the interior of the Chevy is such a let down. The crew cab chevy has barely if any more leg room then the extended cab Ford and Chevy seats feel like they were picked out from lawn furniture section at Lowes.
I think the current Tahoe/Suburban/Silverado interior is the perfect balance of being plush but still being able to handle "truck" duties.
That photo was posted on Inside Line and a GM rep posted that the interior shown is for testing and not close to the actual interior. I hope so.
Can't agree more. Still looks cheap. What is it with Chevy? Dodge Ram has a nicer interior. Hope the next Vette doesn't continue with the cheap interiors.
Chevy still can't seem to get the concept through their thick skulls to have a third row seats that retract in the vehicle. That's just one reason my dad will never buy another Tahoe. And he's told multiple sales guys to express that in their meetings. And I know my dad's not the only one that is pissed off about the seat thing. As far as the dash, Dodges is definitely nicer, I'm just curious how they'll hold up long term. I always saw cracked dashes in dodge trucks no matter how they were treated.
I hope the Ford truck interiors are better, because that is what I'll probably be buying for my next pick-up. I've always bought Chevy trucks in the past, but now that GM is being run by the government and the unions, I will be taking my business elsewhere. .
Not much better IMHO, http://www.caranddriver.com/news/2014-chevrolet-silverado-1500-photos-and-info-news. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have an 08 silverado crew cab with leather and its the best. The 2014 interior looks like a new Malibu on steroids. Not a fan at the moment.

That is awful. Why on earth does gm have such a problem with interiors?? The last somewhat nice interior they had was in the Tahoe, Yukon, line. Simple, functional, clean design. This is just terriable. I don't care what the specs are of the truck, if I have to stare at that interior everyday, Im not buying..
