I was planning to head down there for one day on Friday but a friend of mine backed out. Not even sure if I can get a GA ticket just for practice, i was told you would have to buy all three days.
So, here's what I know... Friday Night FCA Party Friday night FCA event: yes, you can buy a ticket at the door -cash or check. Just confirmed this. They would like everyone to buy the ticket in advance on line so the caterer knows the head count. But purchase at the door ok. Ferraris will be on display, music, and BBQ. Friday at the track You can get a one day for Sunday only. Otherwise you have to buy a 3-day. I paid $149 for a 3 day general admission but just saw they were offering the same deal for $119 now (rats). Seats are available of course for more $ You have to buy parking separate unless you take one of the buses which are $7.50 roundtrip per day, 2 day minimum, so about $22 with fees for two days.
No problem, they are set up for the UT kids that are under 21, they will just keep an eye that they don't get a drink.. Texas Dram Shop actually allows for YOU to give him the dribk, but I am not speaking for Mr. and Mrs. White, they own it, they make the rules!! You can smoke or drink anything in your pocket, in the back parking lot behind the stage..... They even paved the pot holes out of THAT! The End of an Era.....
The Ticket Office at COTA at the Grand Entry Plaza, is open every day. AFAIK, they are selling single day to Walk Ups, any day of the event.. BRANG it!

Hey, Anyone that is in town be sure to hit a convenience store and grab an Austin American Statesman....F1 Racing Magazine, as last years, has a most excellent glossy insert well worth having!! Included with the $1 newspaper. Grab it while it's there, yesterday and today, I guess until they are expended. Been jamming on the drums, went to Antone's Records for the "Texas Blues Bass" book on Keith Ferguson, grab an old Doug Sahm LP, resting now for a nap, while my friend takes his Burnese to the dog wash.... I thought I would give that a "pass" in favor of some rest. Show starts at 9PM at the Broken Spoke...
