458 2014 Ferrari 458 very unstable

Unstable on smooth roads or only on bumps? Did the dealer check the alignment after lowering it? Did the new wheels change the offset or width?

 

Most important question: Is the total diameter of new wheels still about the same than OEM wheels?

If changed more than 10mm, you might be in trouble.

 

That is the first thing that I thought of. If a 22" wheel has anything more than a rubber band around it, the diameter will be altered beyond how the
stock tires were engineered. 10mm will change the dynamic and that isn't very much.
I am not familiar with anyone else who has tried a 22" wheel on a 458, but I am sure they are out there.

 

I have a 22/21 set up on Novitec springs, lowered. After lowering had 4 wheel alignment. The car rides perfect, no issues.

 

maybe the balance weights is off in one of the wheels

 

I’m also running 22s in the rear. No issues. As someone else posted, check to make sure the wheels are properly balanced. You may also want to get an alignment done.

 

Not stable at 70? I would crawl under there and see if everything got torqued down properly.

I'd check to make sure the wheel lug bolts are secure.

Also what brand of tires? And what pressure are you running front and rear?
