First, let me apologize for a sale being my first post on ferrarichat. I joined about a year ago and scoured the forums to educate myself about Ferrari. Thanks to all of you for the wonderful content on this site, I decided to go for it and picked up an FF. I'm a longtime Porsche guy and have recently decided to go back to the awesome naturally aspirated manual transmission I miss as a daily driver. I was in the room and bid on the 599 manual transmission in Amelia as I was hoping for a manual tranny Ferrari, but the FF was just too good to pass up.

Since I'm returning to Porsche manual transmission, it is time to part ways with quite possibly the sexiest car on the planet. This is a 2014 FF in Tour de France over Cuoio Toscano. It has factory warranty until 17 Oct 2016 and maintenance until 17 Jul 2020. It was just serviced 2 months ago by Miller Motorcars including 4 new tires. All other details of the car can be found in my ebay listing. Check out the auction here:

Ferrari FF Base Hatchback 2 Door | eBay

I'm happy to answer any questions about the car and also happy to show it to anyone local. I've priced it aggressively in a NO RESERVE auction starting at $236,900 with a Buy It Now at $249,900. The car currently has 10,829 miles. I can't figure out how to get my pictures smaller so I can attach them here so please check out the ebay auction for all the high res images, list of options, and a full description of the car.

    Thanks,
    Nick Benz

Nice car. GLWS. But - its not a "no reserve" auction if you have to bid higher than $236,900 right? Not accepting any bid lower than that is the definition of a "reserve"

I'm certainly not trying to cause a debate on 'no reserve' so I apologize for the confusion or my misunderstanding. By ebay semantics, I don't have a reserve on the car, which is why I listed it that way. I put the starting price at the lowest end of any 2014 FF I can find out there to show that I'm pricing it aggressively. That's all. I wasn't trying to be cute, but I can see how it might look that way. Sorry again for any confusion I may have caused. Hopefully this clarifies a bit.

Don't think anyone thought you were being cute. However, you did just define 'reserve' in an auction setting. Therefore, it's not a 'No Reserve' auction item. It is the opposite of such.

    Great looking car!

A reserve is a price below which the car won't sell. Your "reserve" is $236,900. Seems just an inadvertent case of misunderstanding ebay semantics, since you do explain the pricing very clearly. I believe once there is an opening bid, the BIN goes away.

I would add be very careful about accepting a cashier's check at this level. They can, and have been known to, be fake. If it seems too good to be true (getting BIN while no else has bid) for example, be careful.

Since a cashier's check can be faked, you have to wait until it is fully settled from the drawn bank before releasing the title and car. That can take a week or so.

The safest way to transfer funds is wire transfer ( I will assume the old days of a briefcase full of cash is out! :)). Once the wire is in your account and confirmed, you are good to go.

    GLWS.

    Regards,
    Jerry

No, it does not have the front lift system and I never found a situation where I needed it. Delaware is flat so no real transition challenges from road to driveway.

Lots of interest, views, and watchers, but no bids the first time around. I relisted the car on ebay. Any questions, PM me or email [email protected]

Longtime lurker ... but I will weigh in on semantics.

The auction was a no-reserve auction with a minimum opening bid.

A reserve is different from a minimum opening bid in the sense that it's level is unknown at the start of the auction and may/may-not be revealed once bidding exceeds the reserve amount.

Here's a good glossary of auction terms: auction.wgbh.org Glossary
