Review my posts regarding Kubika's injury,... and Schumacher's,... I think you'll find I might know a thing or two.

If you don't like my posts, feel free to put me on ignore.

I know you know. And it is not that I don't like your posts.

I simply have a hard time not believing an official statement about such a crucial detail.

Yes, I'm confused too. Because you have a good point. And because now apparently BBC is retracting this very part of the story (see sammysaber's post).

    Maybe you are right.

Not to be racist or anything but trust Me on this one, when you're dealing with the Japanese and they're speaking to you in English, it's very easy to misinterpret what is being said to you, especially when it comes to technical procedures and information.

No telling how many people were between the treating medical staff and the person who wrote / released the statement.

    Yeah, I can see that.

    I get that.

Still this to me is such a fundamental big part that I have a hard time accepting they got that wrong. But it is certainly possible.

Ditto for me, but they just don't get it.

It's still "If you don't love and favour Lewis, then you must hate him"

It seems to me it has to be wrong.

The paddock went quite within minutes of the crash. That means everyone on scene immediately knew it was very very serious. They cancelled champagne on the podium... That is ominous.

Again,... assuming the reports of severe head injury and immediate brain surgery are true,... A craniotomy and evacuation of hematomas is the most likely procedure. Other things are possible (carotid artery dissection for example), but less likely given mechanism of injury.

Now, after surgery, it is almost completely certain that Bianchi is in a medically induced coma and on a vent.

As I pointed out earlier,... it is entirely possible he was breathing on his own before surgery,... and that detail became corrupted in the statement.

Given the time of night, impending storm and the rush to leave for Russia there may be less to read into the lack of communication than it seems.

    At least I hope so.

Prayers for Jules ... hope he pulls through with good health and skills intact.

The race was fun for the few green laps we saw. Lewis' pass on Nico was reminiscent of Kimi's on Giancarlo back in 2005. I must have replayed it 6-7 times to see the beauty of it. Pass of the year!

Hmmm ... good pass but aided by Nico going too far to the inside. Should have stayed in the middle and LH would have not been able to cruise so easily past.

But it looks easy sitting on my couch :).

The Japanese GP organizers need to stop using those digger things to remove cars. Bloody dangerous and very, very solid.

Would have been safer to leave the already crashed F1 car there for the rest of the race.

    Best wishes to Jules.
And regarding the "no driving unless the medical helicopter can fly" I'm sure it's the rule, since as recently as Austin practice or qualifying last year there was a delay due to fog and no helicopter.

Team orders. Nico was told to let Lewis past. It was obvious that Nico slowed down and pulled off the racing line to make it as easy as possible.

The helicopter was there and it lifted off but without Jules. After the race, Brundle speculated the helicopter wasn't utilized due to the possibility the injury might not tolerate a difference in pressure.

The didn't use the helicopter because of fog at the hospital and because it was a quick ride in the ambulance
