Woke up for a pee and first I read was Eric was going to Woking! That got my attention and now I'm completely screwed with all this BS! Cheers, Ian
I like everything but the penis hanging off its chin. Maybe they're going for a whole marketing campaign? Formula 1: a sport so manly, even the cars are well hung! Mark
There hasn't been much comment that I've seen about the five second penalty. If it's issued before a stop the scenario shown a bove works but if its after the last pit stop? Five seconds added to a driver's total race time. Order across the line may not be the actual result.
Who the hell knows?..... I guess if you stop early you're in the clear later?!.... Sports lost its marbles it seems to me. +1 I've gotta go back to bed! The whole things turned into a joke it seems. Ian
This is not unprecedented when races were stopped and continued for some reason, adding the time between cars before the break to the end result. In those cases I found it an extra thrill to see if one driver could leapfrog another without actually overtaking him. It could prevent drivers from cruising to the finish in the last laps.
The teams and the drivers may be the only ones who know what the gap is. While the idea of "no pass passing" is novel I don't see how this potentially confusing rule jibes with the new fan friendly, improve the show, attitude.
Lotus E22. https://twitter.com/Lotus_F1Team/status/426686633694347264/photo/1 It's a render. Presumably because they haven't paid their carbon fiber supplier to they just have to make do. Utter pillocks.
The good news is that so far we´ve seen 3 different cars with 3 different solutions. No longer "same cars with different colors".
I don't think the Mclaren is hideous per se, except for the penis hanging of the front. What does irritate me is why have they painted it the exact same colour as the Mercs? if they have a similar penis it's going to be neigh on impossible to spot whose who. I pray Magnussen doesn't have a yellow helmet...
Those races where the final result was on aggregate, the gaps where shown to the viewer during the race (at least for the front runners), so noone was left in the dark.
We shall see but excuse me if I'm not too trusting of the folks who came up with the double points rule.
Remember how Lotus said ''we will not participate in the first test, because it doesn't fit in with hour pre season programme''? It's because they haven't build their bloody car yet... I now rate their chances of being on the grid in Melbourne at 20%.
RE the hideousness of the cars: Remember 2009...We got used to it. Same for 2012. As long as the racing is excellent everyone will forget almost instantly. Occasionally saying ''feck, that car is ugly''. Nothing to stop us from watching...
WHOA! Never thought I'd hear you say that! Why the increase in minimum weight? Completely, completely unnecessary.
