    Hello Car Community!

Right now, I am in a 15' 911 GT3, which is filled with emotional driving experience, I plan on keeping this car. I will be adding either a '15 458 or I can order a 23' Huracan Tecnica.

Reliability and overall drivers experience is the 2 most important points to me.

Wanted to get opinions on which car is a better with knowing the 2 high points.

    Thanks

Well obviously a new car will be better than an 8 year old car.

I haven't driven an Evo or Technica Huracan, but I personally preferred the 458 to the 580-2 version. The 458 feels more sharp and light-footed. I also find the Huracan driving position and dash to be less ergonomic for my body proportions.

That said, I'm sure any new Huracan is going to be a lot faster and more useable. Full warranty, Audi electronics, etc. From my friends with exotic car rentals, Huracan reliability is why exotic car rental places can stay in business (surprisingly my one friend says the 720S he has had are also good as rentals). I would also point to all the tuners who can make 1,200-2,000HP regularly with these Huracan drivetrains. If you keep it stock it should be pretty solid.

I think we all can agree the Huracan Tecnica being brand new, and being under Audi the reliability will be more then a 15' 458.

Then it really comes down to pure driving pleasure. I am not looking at 0-60 times between the two. So the final question, to the group. Between 458 or a Huracan (Tecnica), which one would put a bigger smile on your face while driving through a mountain pass, road cruising, ETC. (I understand no one has driven a Tecnica yet, however a split between the EVO and STO)

Love my EVO RWD. You can tell the german influence. Not a bad thing esp if you like Porsche. I find it good enough to drive daily and do road trips and emotional enough to keep you driving in anger. Not a boring car at all. Really does it all

I currently have both a 458 and a Huracan 580-2 Spyder. Huracan is definitely more the everyday driver with more technology. However, I find the seats to be very uncomfortable and cabin much tighter than the 458.

If I had one car to choose, I would take the 458. It’s the whole package of driver emotion and visceral sensation.

Forgot to mention that both cars are pretty reliable. No major issues for either. However for comparison, I just did the 10k mile service for both cars. $3,670 for the Huracan and $1,900 for the 458.

Drive both and see which one you prefer. After all you will be the one owning and driving not me who is just giving you what I would buy.

I'm in the same situation as well. Been looking for a 458 Coupe or just wait 1-2 years to get a Tecnica (I put a deposit a few months ago but the list is long). I really want a 458 but lower mileage examples with must have options (Suspension lifter, rear camera, LED wheel) are currently around the the same price as my configured Tecnica (same with older Huracans) so not sure if it really makes $ sense at the moment

Huracan 10 times out of 10....it wins both of your requests.

    That is interesting.

I heard one of the bigger rental fleet owners in town on a podcast say he always sells the McLaren cars before they hit 5,000 miles for reliability reasons.

I am one where price does matter a lot and money is an object. So, if a brand new technica is similar pricing to a 7 year old 458, it is pretty much a no brainer for the Huracan.

Not trying to be a smart ass, but if this were the case then neither one is an option.
