Huh? How do you figure. Theres still 30% useful life to go, the tyre got cut by debris, are drivers supposed to watch the track surface for minute debris now as well as race through eau rouge without lifting, and watch their back? Close it, this will go nowhere
Following reports of trolling, we've been having a look at this thread. From what I can see, a group of people objected to a contrarian point of view and refused to agree to disagree. The contrarian viewpoint also refused to yield and went on and on and on and on about it. The group similarly continued to go on and on and on about it. In the end, everyone got snippy with one another. All of this would have been avoided if you guys would sometimes just agree to disagree and, when that's not something you can tolerate, make use of the ignore feature and don't respond. It takes two people to perpetuate an endless argument. On the matter of thread closure requests, race threads shouldn't be closed merely because a few people are fed up of the topic and want to move on. If you want to move on then do so yourself: unsubscribe from the thread, stop looking at it, and go read/discuss something else. Complaining to get threads closed to force a cessation is what causes old arguments to bleed into new threads. For ease of reporting/investigating in future, while discussion via private message is welcome, the best method to get us onto the relevant posts quickly is to click on the little /!\ icon in the upper right of the post, just next to the post number. Fill in a description of the problem and click submit - this will go via email alert to all moderators assigned to the F1 forum. On this occasion, rather than ban 5 or 6 bickering people for a month, perhaps it will suffice to say that, if someone annoys you, please just stop taking to them and hopefully that'll end the senseless bickering that clearly ruins the enjoyment for a good many folks. Fair enough? All the best, Andrew.
Just noticed this at Sniff; I LOL'd again..... Cheers, Ian Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
