Shred of decency??? Have you considered the cast of characters currently in Indy Car?? Look at the cast....Start with management and then car ownership. And you wonder why it is the way it is? This thing is a private country club and the amount of money you spend determines your tee time. Guess who tee's off first?

Hmmm, what other series could be accused of throwing a multi-lap yellow flag at the drop
of a hat? That damn 900lb gorilla up in Daytonner Beach, that's who!

The sheeple think this is real racing, the rest of racing follows, and this is the result.

All the more reason to shut it down now.

I'm surprised Robin Miller isn't suggesting the same thing. But, then again
he derives a living covering this bloody nonsense.

Miller is part of the problem. When some like Gordon Kirby writes an article on the money side of it, you will get some real outrage and maybe the final chapter before death of it. Miller is a pawn in the game.

Amusing article. Now.....lets get real and start by removing the problems. It isn't the cars or the speed. .....its management and car ownership. One hand washing the other....and all for the benefit of each. Drivers.......just part of the entertainment package. Cars.......just one company that benefits. Engines..........two companies that benefit and one is owned by a car owner. Transmissions.........one company benefits and again owner involvement in it. Does anyone see a pattern here??? If you do then answer the question.......for what reason is this game stacked in this manner? Think real hard kids....

JPM's head is going to explode. Dixon possibly out of nowhere to win the title? (Yeah, I know he's been there all season, but JPM has been leading from the beginning)

3.4 secs too much to ask with 5 laps?

Amazing. Great racing. Was pulling for GR and then JPM, but Dixon shows why he has a 14 year tenure with Chip and is a champion racer. Awesome!

I looked at the replay several times.
JPM could have hugged the inside curb but he let the car drift out.
In hindsight it was avoidable contact, imho.

That little prig Montoya lost the championship to Dixon in the finale race
    of the season?

    F-ing classic!

Must have been a huge cock up to make that happen, ha!

Double points ruin racing. Why should one race be worth more than any other?

Its the same for F1 as well.

It's like saying a touchdown in the last 5 minutes of the Superbowl is with worth 12 points.

Indy Car sucked all the class out of the room a long time ago.

It's such a joke now, even NASCAR is laughing at them.

They actually killed it for F1 this season sir after all the outrage last year : )

    I agree, it's stupid.

I like Dixon and Ganassi though so in this case it worked out for me.

Its weird the way the Indy car season ends. Why not end it on the holiday weekend and go out with a bang? If I were them, I'd end the season with a road course at Indy on Labor day weekend. It should get a decent crowd and TV attention just because of the name Indy.

My thinking is that they don't want compete with College football in the TV ratings as it starts next week.

From what I could see of the stands, there weren't that many in attendance. I could be wrong.

Doesn't it just seem like the season ended in a whimper? Of course, the tragedy last week didn't help much.

And wow.... has David Letterman gone postal or what!

It didn't look like Power tracked alll the way out and changed his line which caught JPM by surprise? I think Roger should have sat Power down and had a hear to heart about his chances and ask for his help with JPM prior to the start. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed!

In the interview after Power was apologetic. Said he should have gave JPM room.
