I believe that in any major sport, the referee/umpire calls even out over the season. I try not to raise hell about individual bad calls...but I am making exception because the Suban overturned goal just reminded me of the worst call in the playoffs, and that was the interference call against Ottawa in game 7 vs. Pens with a little over 7 minutes left. Not only was it a "ticky-tack" call to begin with, calling that in a tied seventh game of a conference final with fewer than 10 minutes to play bordered on criminal. I am PA native, lifelong Flyers fan, and always liked the Pens, but I gotta say I'm pulling for the Preds in this one.

    That's it!
Where do I send your novel for a refund?
    Joking, of course! :D
I did buy it, just haven't gotten around to reading it yet.

C'mon John. I said I LIKED the Pens! Having a book signing event at Local 1688 United Steelworkers of America Union hall in Steelton Saturday, June 10 at noon. Get on the turnpike and come get your book signed...perhaps with a congratulatory note on the Pen's Cup. You Pittsburghers will find lots to identify with in my novel.

We have a new leader in the "worst call in this year's playoffs" category.

The call that put Nash down 2-men late in the 1st, where a Pitt player, with nobody within 2 feet of him, fell down on his own yet the referees decided to penalize the closest Nashville player.

Pitt scored their 1st goal on that PP.

Looks like this series is going to get ugly, and the officiating isn't helping.

Irwin'***** on Cullen was missed, or let go. IIRC, a hit like that use to be good for a five minute boarding call. Was there a rule change?

Kunitz is lucky he only got two for the cross check to Suban.

The fight between Malkin and Suban culminates in Suban yelling FU at pens fans as he's headed to the box. Always funny when the mics pic that stuff up. Listening to various shows I would have thought he was in consideration for the Lady Byng.

I'm a casual fan with a few years of adult league and pick-up experience (certainly no expert) but it seems to me the league needs to make some changes.

Nashville has got to be beyond frustrated. Nothing they are doing is working, and Pitt is doing nothing yet still winning. Just like the Caps series (except game 7), Pitt is getting outplayed badly and still end up winning the game.

I may change my pick from Pitt in 6 to Pitt in 4 or 5.

Lol. After last night, Rinne and the Preds gained confidence. This could go 7, but I will stick my original pick of Pitt in 6

Game 4 tonight, and it is a pivotal one.

Pitt can either put a choke-hold on with a 3-1 series lead, or Nash can push it to a best of 3.

    I am taking Nash tonight.

I like the way the Pens respond following a loss.

Bound to be a very entertaining game.

This challenge thing after every goal is getting ridiculous.

    It's sickening actually.

This Stanley cup has made me a hockey fan. I've never had so much fun watching sports.

Definitely rooting for the predators though. Screw Pittsburgh.

Nash has shown much more energy in all 4 games. Pitt is fortunate to be up 2-1 in the series.

They did that a couple times during the Ducks series. The atmosphere here in Nashville is ridiculous. During the first halftime I went to get some food and there isn't anyone at my gym. Thats unusual in my area of Nashville.

Nash shouldn't have had to use theirs. THE NHL office could have corrected that call without a challenge.

Yeah that crowd is electric. And the fans outside the arena too. Nashville is officially a hockey town now.

They were lined up early this morning and we've had heavy rain off and on all day.
