We were studying the lots where the RV parking was located (and the other lots are the same). COTA actually DID bring in a 2" overlay of fresh stabilization, rolled, to recover all of the lots. So they are trying to improve the experience. They lined the entry road with barriers also, to prevent the "off road parking approach" that had everyone stuck in the mud! Manda Racing arrived Wednesday and got set up. I had one project to cover, in El Campo, then rolled in Thursday was a "off day", so we went out to Salt Lick, in Spicewood, Texas, for lunch. Hung out on South Congress, went to Allen's Boots shopping.....checked all the boxes. As I left, the COTA facility was coming alive, thousands of folks getting ready for The Big Show!! In direct sun, you notice....COTA Sunscreen!! Acess was very lax during Friday, so I was able to go see old COTA staff in MG, ride the elevator up, to the MG Suites. I told the receptionist there: "I just need some sunscreen from the Men's Room!" I walked down the balcony, went in and filled up my pockets with earplugs, sunscreen, breath mints....normal stuff!!
