Hey, Austin crew... I am getting ready to load my pictures from Westlake CC into the F1 thread, but really, I think the Reception Dinner, and the Red Violin, deserves a thread all it's own, for the pictures?? Andy Fish went WAY over the top, to deliver a fantastic evening! Randy Whitten also deserves special mention for "delivering the goods".. So glad to meet Jacques, after doing business with him all these years! Is there a link to the pictures somewhere???? I know that photographer stayed busy, all night. Can anyone point me, to HER web page?? Signed, Not very computer proficient. Alan I know 'Manda Racing' took some great shots too.....

This is actually a recording of us positioning the 2000 F1 car while Elizabeth Pitcairn was practicing for the performance that night on the Red Violin. This was totally spontaneous! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gimiCrbtSE0 The Side Story... And a little side story had to be moving the cars into and through the club. Although I had measured the doors at the club and the specifications for the dimensions of a Formula 1 car, the dimensions I was working with were apparently not the years of these two cars. The 2004 car came first and we realized that on the wood doors leading into the dining room, there was zero margin of error. The tires on both sides polished the wood as the car was carefully maneuvered through the opening. We then realized that the door to the outside we had planned on using was in fact three inches to small, however, the door to the outside in the center of the dining room had plenty of clearance. That meant that diners had to be moved and tables had to be moved at the last minute. The staff of the club worked exceptionally hard to make it happen. As the car moved through the dining room, children watched in amazement and the adults plus the club staff stood and applauded as the car passed through. The 2000 car was about 1/8 of an inch wider but the ritual was the same.
Jessika Fortunato and the Canal F1 broadcast team attended our USGP Ferrari Reception during Formula 1 this year. Our event was part of their Planet F1 series. This 30-minute segment covers the thiings they did while in Austin. The video from the Ferrari event starts at 15:24 minutes in and runs for several minutes. If you attended the event, more than likely you are in some of the shots. Canal F1 is the official Formula 1 broadcaster for Latin America. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H20m1B9LltU
Here are some random phone shots from that evening. Such an incredible event! Moving a pair of F1 cars in and out certainly put some sweat into the suit.
