    Well the holidays are finally over!!! F1 returns this weekend @ SPA!! If only the racing would return :eek:

    Prac1 starts in under 3hrs time.

    25 years ago Schumie started his first F1 race at Spa with Jordan where he put the car 7th on the grid... :eek:

    I know the times don't mean much, but Ocon a full second ahead of Wehrlein.

    Interesting to see this battle develop with the Merc protege...

    Wehrlien overrated occon already a second faster Ha or was it different tyres

    Marcus Ericsson with a 10 place penalty for a component change. Applied after Hamilton's penalty so should be starting behind him (tho he would qualify behind him anyway).

    Don't know why merc didn't just take a bunch of components and take a bigger penalty. But if they update the engine later in season he won't get the upgrades :(

    [\irony] Same as Hamilton. Totally overrated. Almost a second down on his team mate. Useless [/irony]

    It's Friday, not Q or race day. If Ocon takes a second out of Wehrlein in qualy and on race day then I pull my head. Certainly not for Friday times.

    MAuluf, I had only just turned on the tv so was trying to see what was going on. Wherlein set is time on the test tyres and ocon on the soft so who knows.


    Seems Hamilton will be taking new components every practice and will be 75 grid places or thereabouts for the race. He will be a second off rosberg all weekend until race day I think. They are simply putting in new components doing installation laps and working the best set up for the race not trying to set it for qualy

    30p grid penalty for Hamilton now as he's taken more engine parts.

    Does leave a bad taste IMO that such blatant bending of the rules is allowed. Well done to the rule makers not having the slighters foresight...

    There's even talk of taking another reprimand, as no one knows what happens when you have a 4th (no one accomplished this so far)...there are no specific rules that say X will happen when you have a 4th penalty.
