Well done Ros. Good clean race controlled from the front and never troubled. He looks very confident. Right now the wdc is obviously his to lose. Ham blew his start yet again and paid the price. That single phase of the race has been his biggest issue all year and he will pay the price for not sorting it out.

Ferrari need to fire their entire race strategy department for losing a podium yet again. What a bunch of muppets.

Max - excellent defending and soundly beat Ricci. Ricci performed some magnificent over takes at spoon. Clearly shows he can race and also shows the class of the RB chassis/aero package.

McLaren - what happened?! A home race to forget! The Honda boys will be committing harakiri over that farce. Not good enough.

I feel sorry for all the Ham haters who are so fixated on him that they all missed a quite entertaining race.

How did they all miss the race? I don't think I missed much personally, I just enjoyed watching Elton get beat as much as Nico winning.

    +1 on all.
I have no words for how Ferrari has once again screwed up strategy phenomenally.
Hamilton had an excellent recovery drive. I am not sure what happened during the first round of stops but to me it looked like Hamilton - against the undercut - overtook two cars by staying out one more lap. That, what must have been an outstanding lap, allowed him to make it to the podium today.

Honda has been consistently in the points recently. A weekend to forget for them.

Rosberg on the way to his first WDC. I wonder if Hamilton will fade away if that happens.

It was the 2nd stop that handed Hamilton the podium. Vettel stayed out and got into traffic while Hamilton pitted. Ferrari strategist make the same mistakes every time

Meh, for once we had some speed but the grid penalties wasted our race. The strategy with Vettel probably was caused because they didn't think that Vettel would be able to pass Verstappen without crashing.

About the championship, Rosberg lost 40+ points in 4 races earlier in the season so Elton is still well alive.

Your Brit press is having more fun than anyone here about LH's problems or antics. You might want to complain with them and not here. You comment is not called for at all above. I saw an interesting race along with others here. Enjoy!!

Lewis Hamilton's current media problems seem to be with the written press - so how have Fleet Street responded to yesterday's antics?

Daniel Johnson writes in Sunday Telegraph that 'Hamilton’s bizarre behaviour has left Mercedes red-faced again'.

'In another sign that Hamilton has the freedom to act as he likes without fulfilling Mercedes’ wishes, the world champion suggested he would not be fulfilling his written media duties much longer,' he continues.

The Sunday Mirror's back page headline of the story was 'Berk in the Merc' while The Sun's respective headlines read 'Lew-sing plot' and 'Ham snaps'.

'Lewis Hamilton was all snap and no chat,' writes Jonny Fordham. 'Hamilton was livid at the unsurprisingly negative reaction to his childish Snapchat antics' - which Fordham also says were his 'playground pranks'.

'Now the growing feeling among the paddock is that Hamilton does not just run Merc but the whole of Formula One and he has become untouchable.

'But this is Hamilton's world. A social media bubble where his die-hard fans worship motorsport's Mr Marmite like a leader of a cult.'

Yes on about the 3rd lap he actually apologised to the team. Well done Elton.

Boring race, Nico had it in the bag. Ricci was disappointing as were the Ferraris.

Funnily enough Hamilton defended Verstappen's moves in Spa. But somehow this is out of order :D.

Another great if boring race from Nico while Elton couldn't pass Max with a clearly superior car, no wonder he is in a foul mood. Looking towards the following two races, it seems clear that the WDC is for Rosberg to lose, even if he dnfs and gives a full bag of points to Elton, he will still lead, if it happens twice then maybe Elton has a chance. Rosberg is consistent enough that he could just podium three of the last four and still win....
