Mercedes wary of race strategy dilemma in Mexico Link - Watch SkySports F1 | SkyF1 | Sky Sports F1 | Sky F1 Live Stream Online
I'm out photographing on the road today but will try to catch the live commentary on the F1 site and also here. Appreciate the input after the start. Robb
At this point, do you think that there is any heirarchy for the two drivers as far as who gets pitted first or who has the tip of the hat on strategy or is that dictated by the start? Do you think Ferrari have told kimi to make way for Vettel in all circumstances as a team player or does none of that matter to the team at this point? I really don't know. I would hope Ferrari would let the faster driver go to the end. Robb
Romain Grosjean is to start from the pit-lane as he has had to have the floor replaced on his car! So now that's brake problems, front tyre problems, and now they have floor problems at Haas! Meanwhile, Eddie Jordan is moaning about Ferrari not talking to the C4 team after qualifying and is demanding that they should be reprimanded!
Both drivers will have been told they can race each other - Just don't take each other out! Ferrari gave up on this season at least two races ago! - They're just gathering race Data for 2017 now!
I have a feeling things are quite equal inside the team. I think the strategy for each driver is separate and pit calls will be made that work best for the drivers situation as the race develops. I hope the team have not told Kimi anything about favoring Vettel. I do not sense that at all. Others here may know better of course! Edit - See Phil has provided a concise insight!
He's like a broken bloody record now with his constant sniping at Ferrari! - C4 need to realise that it's just annoying these days! (and possibly causing them problems with Ferrari as well when it comes to doing interviews!)
Apparently Nico got a massive load of "boo's" from the crowd on the drivers parade! What the Hell is that all about? I have to say that I hope Nico wins the WDC this season as a way of sticking two fingers up to all those who have been booing him! Personally I think he's genuinely a nice guy! Good luck to you Nico!
I rarely agree with Ron, but he is spot on with that one! Jordan's now just been on C4 saying that after Lewis and Nico collided in Barcelona, Mercedes should have sacked one of the drivers immediately! (and they showed footage of him screaming that to a laughing Toto Wolff!) A message for Eddie Jordan: "Do us all a favour and b:censored:er off!"
Must say he does have a point about the media presence of Ferrari team management. Wolff, Lauda and Horner are always answering questions before and after races. Arrivabene however hardly.
