Here's the Bahrain time table in PST: Apr 1, FP1 04:00 Apr 1, FP2 08:00 Apr 2, FP3 05:00 Apr 2, QUALY 08:00 ---------------------------- Apr 3, RACE 08:00
Getting an early start on this one! I have my hopes for a good result in Bahrain for the Scuderia. All the best, Andrew.
Indeed - "I was like, WTF!....." Did I miss some days? [It has been known to happen. ] OK, panic over...... I guess he wanted to get in first. I generally trust that Speedy will be along in plenty of time. Cheers, Ian
Thanks for the times! Now we can start counting how many times the rules change between now and then!
Really? Ala NASCAR? I dunno, I think it's 'exclusivity' & 'rarity' are part of its appeal. I'm happy with 21 races! The NFL is kinda the same way to me - Limited availability enhances it. Cheers, Ian
My top ten questions for this race: 10: Will Mercedes continue to dominate qualifying and finish 1-2 again? 9: Can Rosberg keep up the pressure on team mate Hamilton (counting last year that's 4 wins in a row for Rosberg!) 8: Is there any way that Ferrari can make a great start last in Australia when they went from 3-4 to 1-2 at the end of the first corner? 7: McLaren, Manor, Sauber, and Renault don't have any points yet, so who will break through for these teams? 6: With an awesome 6th in the first race, is there any way Haas team and Grosjean driving can match or better that? 5: The big red flag incident really affected the outcome last time out, will we have an incident free race? 4: The Haas guys showed they have the pace to qualify up in the middle of the pack, will they get it done this qualifying round? 3: Despite the great start, Ferrari had a car fire and bad tire strategy to lose a possible 1-2, can they turn that around? 2: For the last two years (and this year), we've had only 4 different race winning drivers (Hamilton, Rosberg, Ricciardo, Vettel), so who's next to win? 1: Who else is glad this race isn't on at 2AM like Australia? I agree, not to mention, the stress it would put on the lives of those involved! I wish NASCAR had a shorter schedule, if you made the chase, Easter and Christmas, plus a short time of non testing are almost your only weekends off. With F1, its much easier to follow a season, and still go to the track and race on the off weekends.
Not for me here on the left coast... One of the few that's actually at a somewhat reasonable time. Cheers, Ian
Ferrari (particularly Kimi) has been very quick at this track so I'm going to gamble with a 1-2 for Ferrari...Will they lock out qualifying? Not convinced just yet.
Dry warm conditions - Mercedes P1 and P2 in qualy. Ferrari need more time to heat up the tires so they are 3 and 4. Race might be different. Ferrari have better starts but dont have the perfect 1 lap performance just yet....
They don't make it easy, do they!?..... Back in the dark ages when I was dependent on them, I had more DVR "season passes" for it across those channels (& the occasional "off air" of course) that I spent almost as much time deleting duplicates as I did watching though. Cheers, Ian
Hi Folks, I'm sure you've all noticed that Kimi's cars seem to 'break' all the time. My question is this, is it something with his driving? Or is it he get's "B" stock and Vettel get's the "A" stuff? Or simply bad luck? (It just seems too often for it to be bad luck right?) Would love to be educated here. Cheers
Ooh! There's some very interesting Q's. I'd suggest starting another thread - The "spoilers" thread is not the place. Cheers, Ian
Good overview, but I'd nit-pick his comment that Rosberg won without passing anyone on track, since he passed Hamilton from the start into turn 1.
Very true and we saw a few races last year where LH had few passes if any other than lapping the back markers. Rosberg had the better start. Thats a pass in itself. We will see soon if Mercedes are vulnerable again at the start. Im thinking they will be.
