Safety from his perspective - "The cockpit closure will almost certainly appear because liability scenarios will now mandate it. Then something else will happen until finally we have to take the driver out of the car to avoid any further injuries.

I have no data to back this up but I believe that if you cycle to work, ski the slopes, ride your motorbike and suchlike you are taking as many risks as a modern-day Formula 1 driver. But at least you don't have the chore of that champagne-soaked podium to put up with."

He in some ways puts down the drivers and what they 'endure' and notes how much they make and the lack of smiles from them. Pouting etc. I fully agree. Its good to be in F1. Its super to be winning but being in the sport should also be celebrated in the larger scheme.

LH is not the worst about this. WE have seen others complain but why the 'vicitm' attitude. Life is good as Brundle said in the link I posted for these guys. The Stewards are different for the races as well. I dont see him being singled out. The rules do apply to all and he just is getting caught. Others have points as well.

 

See, this is the prime reason why I dislike Ham so much. They're not out to get him. ALL drivers where explicitly told at the drivers meeting (mandatory to attend as far as I know) to STEER AROUND THE BOLLARD OR RECEIVE A PENALTY. Hamilton didn't steer around it, and got the penalty (reprimand).

Same goes for reversing in the pitlane. It's not allowed, hasn't been for a long time.

It's the same as 2012 or whatever when he felt so entitled that he kept crashing into everyone, then went on a public rant about the stewards that where apparently out to get him. Obviously his legion of fans all agree with him on instagram, twitter and Facebook, and some on here unfortunately.

Lewis is a self entitled wanker and will probably remain one for a good while yet.

Nico Rosberg is only the 4th driver in history to win opening 4 races in a season. He's also the 4th driver to win 7 consecutive races.

 

You don't like him because you find reasons not to. Vettel whines FAR more than him and I don't see you complaining about that, more self entitled as well

 

I'm not saying Vettel doesn't whine.

It's Hamilton's entire demeanor. He doesn't appear sincere.

Continuing to say he is in a 'better place' and all is well....contradicts the data in the link about his treatment. Again he is not the only driver under penalty at all. Going back to the horrors of his karting career, is laughable. As if that matters. He got into F1 no matter LOL!

 

Presies. Vettel is championing the whining as long as the helmet is on, which likely is to some degree related to softening the stewards stance on decisions. Once he is out of the car he lets his brain do the work and his eyes remain dry.

 

Kvyat should get a one race ban just like Grosjean did a few years ago when he almost beheaded Alonso at Spa. One rear hit could have possibly been excused, though even that is debatable after China, but 2 in succession within the 2nd and 3rd corner with the 2nd one putting Vettel into the wall (tire failure as a result of the hit) is inexcusable. I wouldn't even expect that type of performance from a rookie. Even Maldonado wouldn't have done that!

 

Not yet. China was brave and nothing was wrong with it. Loosing his head twice in three turns is still only a single ridiculous race. Grosjean rightly was sent into introspection because he just couldn't stop crashing. Kvyat has been around for a while and didn't strike me as a notorious torpedo. He will not like what he has done and be more careful in future, I am sure.
