China may be excused though had Vettel not taken avoiding action which put him into Raikkonen it may have been the same result. In the case of Sochi there was no way to avoid Kvyat as he simply clobbered Vettel from the rear, not once, but twice, ruining not only his race but also that of his teammate and Hulkenburg. It totally affected the outcome of the race, and it was fortunate that there was no serious injury as a result of his nutty driving. The fact that he may feel bad about losing his head now shouldn't be a factor at all. His penalty should be a lot worse than he received and I still think a 1 race ban is appropriate.

Kvyat in Russia was egregious. It honestly looked like it was on purpose. How do you manage to careen into a guy twice in 2 corners? With the depth perception and reaction times these guys have I find it hard to believe it was accidental.

That's why I feel that there may have been some truth in Vettel's complaints about Kvyat's driving in China too which cannot be seen or sensed from the TV camera. Kvyat was coming through like a "bull in a China shop" (no pun intended) and without the hindsight available to Vettel which allowed him to avoid but ultimately tag Raikkonen, it may very well have ended in their coming together as well. In the case of Sochi, I agree that it did appear intentional, but was probably just bad driving on Kvyat's part and poor decision making not expected from a F1 driver. Kvyat claimed that he didn't expect Vettel to slow for the 3rd corner, but what did he expect after clobbering his backside in the 2nd?

I haven't liked Hamilton since his McLaren days, he outright lies. I don't remember what race, there was some controversy, and he outright lied about it, only for the radio transmission to be played later, or the transcript shown, contradicting what he said to the media.

Austrália, when he tried to frame TRulli in order to get him penalized...a total disgrace, honestly i can't remenber ever seing such a low act by any driver...should have been suspended for a year for that.

What about the fact that Hamilton compared himself to Schumacher in an attempt to claim he was the better champion by saying that Schumacher's Ferrari had a greater advantage in its day than he has with the Mercedes (which is totally not true).
All you have to do is look at Hamilton's body language when he loses to see he is a poor sport, or the fact that he never blames losing on himself, it's always the team or the car or another Driver's fault

He has even compared himself to Senna in the past...my hero...I wanted to gag. We can all agree Hamilton's got talent, but to outspokenly compare yourself to a legend (irregardless of who) speaks VOLUMES about your personality and character or lack thereof.

And btw, I think Hamilton and Seb are both equally like self-entitled spoilt children when things don't go their way, just different flavors.

Well, I actually think all top rank F1 drivers are like spoiled children in one way or another (I mean look at Alonso), but Hamilton is in a class by himself. I don't think any of the other drivers would dare compare themselves favorably to Senna or Schumacher, both of which are not in a position to respond any longer. That's very low.

Not condoning his or any other F1 driver's actions, but some of them will go to great lengths in order to win, or gain an advantage - it's part of their mentality. Some do it publicly, and some do it behind the scenes: Vettel, Hamilton, Schumacher, Alonso, Senna, Prost... have all behaved badly at one time or another, and some have been justifiably penalized. Some fans accept such behavior, some don't.

Replaying that whole OZ gp saga from back then...Furoni does have a point regarding Hamilton, should've had a much harsher penalty.

Even AFTER he was played the message he kept playing dumb...Perhaps he thought he could mind **** them into believing the recording wasn't true ;).

Yup, and Hamilton also tried to place blame solely on the team.

    Indeed.

Wasn't his "defense" that "they told me to say that"? [That he'd never received the message.]

However, a little in his defense, if my boss (Whitmarsh?) told me what to say, I'd probably concur too - He's the guy paying me after all.

    Cheers,
    Ian

To a certain point I agree. But after having been played the message, to continue to deny it, you're just being plain stupid IMO. Just say no comment.

    Agreed.

But again, he was very young at the time, & most "youngsters" wish to remain in the good graces of their employers - Be they F1 jockeys or mail room attendants.....

He wasn't hired for his intellectual capabilities.......

I think I'll give him a pass on that one. Hopefully he learnt a little in the process.

That Charlie heard it doesn't necessarily mean that he did was (again, IIRC) Whitmarsh' argument. "Plausible deniability" has got many folks in much trouble over the years..... ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Having just won a championship for them I think his position would've been safe ;).

But yes, he had his penalty and all that.

I still don't buy it that Alonso believed the Singapore 2008 strategy :D

    You're joking right ?

He behaved very gentlemanly when he and Webber collided some years back, he was carrying on like a spoilt child and lunatic on the side of the track

Then there is his outburst at DK in the green room after the Chinese race, he was totally wrong to go off at Kvyat for overtaking him .

Time for Vettel = ZERO .... total tosser, want him out of SF asap, put DR in the SF, he's faster and an all round better driver

    Abso-bloody-lutely !!

No time for either of them.

I like DR's attitude, win/lose/draw, he smiles and looks forward to the next race.

Massa is another much maligned driver who seems to have a positive attitude for most of the time.

Jensen is a driver I've liked for a long time due to his honest opinion of himself when he won the WDC and his laid back attitude (apart from the British whining trait :p ***hello Nige, Hambone, etc)

These guys are doing a "job" most of us would give our left nut to do and some of them have the temerity to complain and whine ??!!!

I have read somewhere though that DR does put in expense sheets for the soft drinks he buys on the run :p (Christian Horner had a giggle about it :) )
