2016 Q2 Maserati Production April - June: 6912 2016 Q1+Q2: 6295+6912= 13 207 2015 Q1+Q2: 7306+8281= 15 587
Well it's no secret that worldwide demand is down and that they overproduced so they furloughed workers for a while. 2015 QPs and Ghiblis were being discounted late last year and earlier this year. They just made too many for a while. The Levante will be a new market for them so yes, that should help in the fourth quarter and next year.
Those figures are actual sales and cars delivered to customers, right? I would expect orders to be far higher.
I don't normally post in recent or new model Maserati threads but beware; for years there have been posts or even threads by people who are working for the competition and try to denigrate recent/current Maserati models. Ditto. It does not matter if they are in the marketing departments of BMW, Mercedes, Audi in Munich, Stuttgart etc or salesmen in their US dealerships in Omaha or Orange county. Just don't fall for their propaganda. Mind you I say this even though I dislike the Fiat management mentality and would love to stuff a tie or three down the throat of Mr sweater Marchione. What I have been told this spring when sitting down with the Ferrari Maserati Geneva dealership sales manager is that actual Levante deliveries will start in September. As often happens the Geneva show was a little before the vehicle was actually ready. I did see a Levante on the road extremely early hence it was obviously a pre production car in the hands of someone working for Maserati, a Fiat VIP or journalist. It was in late May the evening after the Villa d'Este Concours, I was having a drink in Como by the lakeshore and suddenly a white Levante passed by, I don't like SUV's but I must admit it looked quite good. Test drive articles seem quite positive so let's see if this thing can make soccer moms happy and provide funding for true Maseratis... MS
Marc, I fully agree. The first demonstrator arrived at my shores just just 1.5 months ago, and the importer had then 30 orders for the Levante. That is an impressive figure for a small market like Norway. The reviews I have read and seen are generally very positive, so I cross my fingers for Maserati's potential future cash cow. Best, Gabriel

Hello, Again these sound too low to be believable but not really concerned with modern Maseratis (except to buy a Granturismo S as a daily driver) Coincidentally Yesterday on the autoroute near Beaune (30 miles south of Dijon) saw 3 open car carriers, 2 filled with Levantes and one with Ghiblis, all headed to Paris, Benelux or UK. Best regards, MS
I live by an Alfa/Maserati dealer here in Naperville and their stock does not seem to move too much (ghiblis and 4P). Im sure they will sell many more Levante than either of the Sedan (Which frankly have nothing on the competition anymore..The previous 4p was at least charismatic looking..). All the discounts and sales they have are probably not helping build lots of confidence. I know id hate to have one of the first Ghiblis only to see the MSRP being slashed every so often. They have MSRP in the 80s and then sale prices in the 60s. Which is it?
no different than mercedes, bmw, audi etc, the 4 door sedan market is soft across the range. Porsche has reverted to Luca Brasi tactics to get people to buy their ugly pig. Its all about SUVs.
According to a serious Dutch magazine 40% of the Levante sales in the USA are to women. In China 10%.
This is wrong, it is 40% of SUV sales in USA are to women, not 40% of Levante sales. Hence the name BMW = Basically Made for Women.
