It's a sorry state of affair for F1, that races are decided at the start now. After a couple of laps, a GP turns into a procession.

I wouldn't say that only now they are decided at the start followed by a procession. That was what it was like back in the day of the V10s toward the end of their run...whoever won turn 1 usually won the race (Ferrari then Renault in 2005). Back then they got rid of launch control and Renault had a trick to find the best part of the clutch to win the race to turn 1. F1 hasn't been very competitive for a while, but at least in the V10 era they sounded fantastic and looked good with tobacco sponsors and all. I was okay with that.

Edit: To statistically compare, you can look up the number of "Grand Slams" in F1 history (pole, fastest lap, and lead every lap). Michael did it with Ferrari 3 times after 2000 (5 total). Lewis has done it 5 times total, but granted 3 of them were this season.

Why do you like to ignore the truth?

This team has been falling apart since the summer break. If you can't see it then you are blinded by the red mist.

You don't get better by excusing failure.

BTW: It's a car forum. People talk about cars here. That's what we do. If you don't like a post, don't read it.

    You are right.

While the WDC technically isn't over, it is hard to imagine Ferrari resolving its reliability issues within the remaining races. The car is fast but doesn't last long enough. Or they are just being stupid with not replacing old parts.

They had reliability issues for 2 (!!!) races out of the last 20 or something....give it a break, it is not like they are Honda...It looks like they pushed the development of one engine-stage too far to keep up with the power of Mercedes...All those who now claim heads must role are the same guys who demanded at least 50 HP more to keep up with the Mercedes a few races ago (like at Silverstone). So they had a failure at the last race with both cars that never occured on the engine test bench, they can not test so things like this happen.
Today a plug failed...Yes, fire them all!!! If I am not wrong with the parc fermé rules this is the same plug that worked yesterday in qualy so who do you blame for that. As Seb said: "**** happens".
Or like others said: first you do not have luck, then you are unluckly...
