Elton finished 36 seconds behind Bottles. New #2? :D
Here's a crazy scenario: Bottas continues to do well in the coming races, beating Elton...Elton gets a sudden epiphany, claims he's fallen out of the sport (conveniently 2 years ago), and will quit F1 end of the season to become a rapstar or something silly. Alonso gets a call from Toto, offering him a car in a title challenging car. 2018, Ferrari and Red Bull are fastests, and Mercedes a distant third #AlonsosLaw #teamorders
Just hope it's not another Montoya story... Alonso hopefully has a better future over here IF he decides to come over.
You know how it works: within the next couple of hours "the truth" will come out why it was absolutely not in Lewis' hands and the mentioned fchat member will stick it under our nose for the rest of time as the only possible explanation. ..it is like in Kindergarden when running to the next tree always Sees one kid that "was not ready" and therefore this should not Count or at least make a "best out of 3" of it. Actually this race should not even be counted in Lewis' Statistic. Problem is: if Lewis really had a Problem (Which might be even true) nobody believes it anyway as the excuse was made too often. Like Sebs broken Chassis at RB..... Gesendet von meinem SM-G800F mit Tapatalk
I think we can agree that Lewis Hamilton not finishing on the podium is unusual, correct? So why not hear from the team and Lewis? Are such explanations always "excuses"?
Pretty soon Mercedes will be having "a discussion" with him. Trust me. They can do as well or better for far less then the $50 M they pay him. Bottas saved a Merc embarrassment today.
Gamble worked out for Merc: Gave Hami a "first you finish" engine; Gave Bottles a "win-or-explode" tune --- --- and it didn't explode. It was obvious from the early pass that they had that engine hotted up. Looks like they turned it back down at the stop, which gave the pace back to Ferrari. Vettel on really old tires still out-pacing Bottas on fresh ones. I'm surprised they left the wick up that long. They may pay for that later in the season. But it worked for them today. Kimi got a bad start. And knew it -- which is why he wasn't smiling on the podium.
They bvoth did..and that lost them the race...that was my biggest fear for today..i figured Kimi might lose the place but no seb..a pity really..but after that Ferrari was spot on..nice tactics for both cars, and both drivers drove fine races..
They can get Alonso for pennies on the dollar. Great driver looking to get into a fast car, no one else can offer him that for 2018 and Mercedes knows it. Elton already quit last year. Our prediction of Elton leaving end of season is likely I reckon, provided Bottas continues to beat him.
Fantastic start from Bottas who completely outfoxed the Ferrari's and controlled the race from then on, resisting the pressure towards the end like the pro he is. Ferrari lost that race, against all expectations. They didn't convert their grid advantage into a win. Hamilton had a lacklustre race and was never in the mix. Another unbelievable failure from Honda; Alonso didn't even do a lap. Surely the anger must reach boiling point for the Spaniard.
Yep! Fred is rich enough. He just wants to win in his final years. Ham out-- Fred in -- Bottas with a 3 year deal for 2018.
Nope. Alonso has already given up. Now all he wants is to prove to another team he's still got the drive. Today he could hardly keep from laughing when asked about his race. It's funny to him now.
