I am not taking anything away from Nick Foles, he played his heart out, and NEVER looked nervous. What a great pickup he was in the off season. He has one year left in his contract in Philly. My guess is he'll do one more year there as a backup, although they might trade him for a 2nd round pick and a couple pounds of scrapple, knowing the Iggles. OR, they could give him a nice contract extension, THEN trade him. D
Is Philly still standing today? neither team played much defense....1100+ yards of offense, 74 total points. again, fun game to watch, even without an allegiance to either team
Well, they greased the light poles, sent out all the mounted cops, and it appears that Philly is still standing today. I'm safely ensconced in FL. But my next door neighbor is another Philly guy, and he was shooting fireworks over the lake last night!! The parade may be another story. Gonna make the Phillies parade look like a Cub Scout Jamboree by comparison. D
You are absolutely right. 99.9% of coaches would have punted. That's the reason they lose to the Pats, and the Eagles defeated them last night.
Did Donovan McNabb notice that Foles didn't puke in the huddle They DID play defense, when it counted most, on NE's last possession.
I stand corrected again, they did call false start on NE in yesterday's SB, but that's because it was so obvious they had to....oh wait, so was the one vs Tennessee but somehow Tennessee was called for offside instead.
Exactly, at the end of the day, all the rest is details, people will remember the Eagles are champs, maybe Pats lost. Everything else will fade into the background...T
Toyota commercial with the skier - that was good. Ditto for Eli & OBJ. Danny Devito commercial? Lame. Ditto for the avocado commercial. Tide commercials - annoying. How much money did they waste on SB commercials, I wonder. Lot of people seemed to like the Morgan Freeman ad. Thought it was mildly OK...T
I just heard that Brady left the field without congratulating Foles or anyone else on Philly. If true, Brady is the ultimate doosh - when he won his 5 Superbowls, did his opponents do that to him?

True. Sort of. Did not shake Nick Foles, or any other players' hands on field, did apparently congratulate some in the tunnel. either way, doesn't seem to have bothered Nick much. Image Unavailable, Please Login
We had a lot of fun this year in this thread and I want to thank all my fellow F-Chatters for the stimulating dialogue. I'm just back from Steelton and I am one very happy boy. Watched the game with some childhood friends...life long Eagles fans all (and we have the scars to prove it!). It's a beautiful world!
That was my thinking too. That was the weirdest part of the show. What was that kid thinking and why did Timbelake pick him?
Well congrats to the Eagles. It was an excellent game, very entertaining. The Eagles earned the win, they were the best team on the field yesterday.
