"Super cheap v6 hybrid series" strikes again...
It is green at least, sorry correction it takes a ton of green and turns into, well you know, deep brown and red ink!
So, Force India was running on vapour, with a big cash deficit. Williams can't be far behind. That's 2 Mercede teams in troubles. As for McLaren, without a title sponsor, it won't go far at this rate.

Yep, I read that (don't ask me where) but didn't pay much attention. Alonso could be tempted to ask for his old job back at Ferrari, following the demise of Marchionne. Rather callous of him, I thought. Marchionne was in favour of promoting Young Leclerc to the Scuderia next year, according to rumours. With him out of the way, so to speak, Alonso COULD be offereing his services to the new Ferrari management.
No doubt Flavio will be doing his best to keep Teflonso in F1..only problem is he is too expensive ,nobody wants him ,too much baggage.
Well, Bas wasn't joking: Daniel Ricciardo to Renault indeed! https://www.racefans.net/2018/08/03/daniel-ricciardo-quit-red-bull-f1-team-renault-2019-season/ Rgds
I opened a dedicated thread, quoting you as the author of the scoop. Can't understand that move either; he must have felt really p.ssed off ? (Confirmed now by official Red Bull communiqué) Rgds
RBR is not known for its generosity. They probably made an insulting offer to Daniel thinking that he had no options elsewhere. I am very interested in seeing how Hulkenberg performs against Ricciardo.
Good thinking. And I agree. Ric already earns 10m at RBR I think and Max a good chunk more...I'd think he wanted very close to what Max earns, RBR wouldn't step up so he made the move.
The one that comes to mind quickly is: it’s not Red Bull... Honda, Max, Horner, and Marko...a bomb, a bomber, a bum, and another bum.
I actually hope this is a stunning move for Danny. Love him as a driver and would love to see him and Nico being a 4th team in the fight in 2019. Personally I don't see any upside at Red Bull with Max (i.e. during the Vettel years)
Who is reporting this? I hope it is true (though i know there will be many here who think it should be Leclerc).
Now with Ricciardo out, Red Bull can become my most hated team on the grid. I feel like a second youth coming !!!
This is a huge gamble. I wonder what these teams tell the drivers during these negotiations ......”we’re going to have a winning car for sure next season!” This could turn out well or he could be the next Alonzo.
