As a lot of people refer to this very often when it comes to Schumacher, does anybody know how often that actually happened that Barrichello had to give way to Schumacher for the win? This is not to start a discussion but really out of curiosity, does anybody know? I remember that Rubens got a victory back when he screwed the photofinish and overetook Michael over the line in the US...any more?
That was the day Schumacher was booed on the podium. The FIA introduced rules against team orders soon after. That didn't last.
2001 Austrian GP Not for a win. "Schumacher fought his way back up to third, while Montoya was able to get up to fourth before retiring with hydraulic failure. At the sole round of pit stops, Coulthard jumped Rubens Barrichello to lead the race, but appeared to be struggling during the closing stages, allowing both Ferraris to close right up to the McLaren. During the last lap, Barrichello was ordered by the Ferrari team to cede second position to Schumacher, so that he could gain points to defend the driver's title. Barrichello did not comply until the final corner of the last lap."
"Third DRS zone added" I've an idea...make the whole track and DRS zone and allow the drivers to decide if they open the flaps or not...then we might get some fun! And get the driver doing something radical...drive the car, rather than rely on software to do it for them.

Red Bull refusing to use new Renault MGU-K JUNE 26, 2018 Red Bull will not use a new 'MGU-K' unit supplied by Renault this weekend in Austria. Marca reports that Renault has been using the 2017 version of the energy recovery component so far this year, but that the new specification is finally ready. However, fitting the new unit will result in penalties for the Renault-powered drivers, including those at the works team, McLaren, and Red Bull. "It will be available in Austria for all the cars that want it," said Renault boss Cyril Abiteboul. "It so happens that not all the teams have chosen to use the new specification, but it's something that we've been very much waiting for." It is believed Renault and McLaren will use the new MGU-K in Austria, but Red Bull doesn't want to take penalties at its home race at the Red Bull Ring. "It's a problem that some have chosen not to use it," Abiteboul said. "It means they will continue to use the MGU-K of a previous technical specification with a higher reliability risk. "But that is our philosophy -- to accept the choice of the teams that have all the information," he added.
