So who all is going to Hinsdale Fuelfed this Sunday?
Lake Forest Sportscars. I took this photo on a Sunday in 1989. That's a 412's lights lurking in the center of the photo. * Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is the same corner today. I remember seeing a F40LM and F1 Ferrari 642 in the old showroom together. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Tom. The old Knauz building is now a bank also. Actually, it's "Wells Fargo Advisors". The first photo was taken in 1973. They were the Chicago area Ferrari dealer at the time as well as Mercedes, BMW, Alfa Romeo and next door, Chrysler-Plymouth. I'm right under the BMW sign with my massive '70's hair. Bill Knauz is in the front row with his arms folded. The second photo shows the building and those same steps today. * Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I’m thinking of Driving down from Milwaukee on September 9th in the Countach, anything interesting happening?
https://fuelfed.wordpress.com/events-calendar/coffee-classics-barrington/ Got it I should be there Hopefully the car gets delivered on time
Cool shot! Looks like Mr. Bellei to the frame-right in the 2nd row behind Bill Knauz. He'd give us auto parts stickers for our notebooks (his son had a cool 383 Roadrunner!). Bruce D. to your right w/the sideburns?
Yes. Bruce Donnelly, for sure. Erich Beisswinger is over Bill's shoulder with his head tilted down. He was the service manager. I can name about half of the people in the photo.
Great day at Fuelfed. Sorry no pics, I've got to get better with that. Thank you to everybody who helped with today's event. Mike, great to meet you in person and put a face to the Fchat posts. Hugh and Margaret, nice to meet you. Looking forward to talking to you again and seeing the Dino and your other cars. Robert, always good to swap info on QMs. Good luck with the resto. Are there any events happening next weekend?
Was looking for Jim Pearce and Gary Sisler, though not sure if they were there yet? Worked w/Bruce's dad, "Dynamite", at Blanchard's. Good dude!
