I'm going to talk smack now, because I'll miss the first 3 weeks of games no internet connection. Jennie might be able to check my roster for injuries, but won't be able to monitor players much. FerrariChat II Draft - I only drafted the last 3 rounds, so it was almost all automatic. Image Unavailable, Please Login FerrariChat I Draft - I manually drafted entire thing without any homework, things just fell together although terrible draw, I picked up a bunch of players later than they should have gone. ^ Had a worse report card for the FF league I was in last year, and finished second in the league, and was an Antonio Brown injury, away from the championship. Of course, it didn't hurt that someone traded me Alvin Kamara for Will Fuller early in the year, and Kamara went on to become a stud! Definitely weak @ WR, so I am going to need one of the rookie WRs I took a flyer on in later rounds to blossom. My bias is that I'd rather it be the Cowboys new guy, Gallup...T
I did almost the same thing for both drafts in the first 6-8 picks, but autodrafted the balance of the first and manually picked the balance of the second and got a big drop in grade. Should have let it autodraft. I agree draft grades are wonky though. Last year, I recall I got a good grade in the FCI league and ended up mid-pack (early injuries devalued my roster) and a mediocre grade in the FCII league but led most of the season (a couple of lucky pickups) and finished second.
I figure that injuries and randomness means that I finish the season with maybe 3 guys I started with. So draft scores don't worry me.
Had to work yesterday so I missed both drafts, but I'm pretty happy with both of my teams. Just hoping I don't lose a ton of RBs like I did last year, and hopefully Wentz stays healthy because I've got him on both of my teams.
That's crazy! You are projected to be 0-13 in both leagues. You will probably win both championships.
Whisky A-GoGo is me, Fred, I just prefer not to push my name to YAHOO... LOL I think I am setting a record with only TWO FF teams this year, 6-7 years ago I had 13 teams.... Draft grades mean NOTHING unless the guys perform like some THINK they should, AND you have no injuries. I was in a league a few years ago, the commish changed the draft date 4 or 5 times to accommodate others, but not me. I was so pissed by the time we drafted that I purposely picked the WORST rated starters for each position, and you can guess what happened....
Never a good sign when you get two alerts within seconds that your top WR and top RB - of an already middling group - are injured. T
Had to screen capture this. I'm losing to someone with zero points! Image Unavailable, Please Login T
I'm starting my comeback now in FerrariChat I, finally have a strong team going. FerrariChat II team is still weak.
My team absolutely is stinking it up. My "top" receiver is a rookie, and my RB's are putrid. In a 12-team league, the pickings on the waiver wire are slim. Travis Kelce is my most dependable skill position player. T
Tom, thank goodness you are stinking it up at 0-6 so my 1-5 record looks good. Frankly I'm a little embarrassed for you. If Rob had asked for a vouch for you to join FC II, I would have stood up for you. That endorsement could have gotten me thrown out of the league! I'm slightly better in FC I, but things are looking up there for me.
Happy to help out, Paul. I would hate to have to add my shame on to yours! I am sucking BIG time! My #1 pick (Fournette) has been out more than in. And, in 12 person league, the waiver wire is thin. I feel, however, things are turning around. No where to go but up. Hitting my stride, and many other sport-isms. By the end of the season, I think I will be at "appalling" with an outside shot at "mediocre" T
