Yeah lets worry about "merch" sales :p
It's a reflection of how unpopular his move will be amongst his Australian fans !! But if I have to draw you a simpler picture I can try...
If you think all his fans are going to throw out their Red Bull gear for Renault stuff, fake or otherwise, you're living in a fools paradise.
I'm Ferrari through and through Don't need to wear any merchandise to prove who I support And I'll be behind Dan no matter what rubbish he is driving
I agree John, but it costs nothing to support a driver. That's easy. Ask people to put down some hard earned and that's a different story.
Why would anyone throw away their Red Bull gear? That's just plain retarded. Most large Sporting teams (football, soccer, etc) like to change their kit designs on a year to year basis which include sponsors so it's easy to spot which "season/era" the person is wearing. People are buying the "latest" gear all the time. People that actually attend sporting events drop large amounts of money on food, drink, tickets, accommodation, flights and now they can't afford a $50 cap?
I wonder how much of the Red Bull merchandise was actually bought by people with any interest inF1 and how much was bought / given away as a 'soft drink' brand? I reckon 99% of Red Bull cap wearers wouldn't be able to pick Dan out of a lineup!
Alonso gone in 2019, did not see that happening, wants to win Indy https://www.crash.net/f1/news/903436/1/alonso-quit-formula-1-2019 Would have won the championship if he stayed with us, ended up costing us more
https://www.news.com.au/sport/motorsport/formula-one/daniel-ricciardo-addresses-his-shock-move-from-red-bull-to-renault/news-story/25f065a8204ebffec7469406e9ac651a https://www.planetf1.com/news/red-bull-nobody-can-keep-up-with-honda/ I see Horner is still a **** and Mako shark is full of **** about Honda Honda should stick to lawn mowers and leave F1 engines to the Italians and English Seriously, I'm over these wanna-be-German Austrian RBR wankers ...... just stick to selling "energy (sugar) drinks" and leave the racing to those that love it "Two beers please barkeep, I need to post in the F1 section after about another 15 beers !!!"
Mark, he's a great racer but like Hamilton it's his off field performance that makes him poison for any team. His disruptive, arrogant and through-you-under-the-bus attitude is disgraceful ..... remember what he did to McLaren and his whining at Ferrari ??
You may be right buddy but I fear that now Daniel has signed with Renault his career may go the same way as Alonso's- downhill and never to recover.
I think with Daniel they see their best chance for years to have a real crack at the title and will put everything behind him He'll get the best engine, the best of everything and the Hulk will just have to play tyre warmer
Oh He'll be their number one, no question. Just hope they eventually have what it takes to challenge and win a World Championship. These days nothing is certain in F1 (other then Hamilton remaining a #@*$%&!!).
