Kinda figured since they've got it for sale. http://www.deltawingracing.com/our-news/2017/4/11/for-sale-2013-deltawing-coupe
One of the Delta Wing coupes is available for sale at Wire Wheel in Vero Beach. http://www.wirewheel.com/2014-Panoz-DeltaWing-IMSA-Race-Car-for-sale.html BHW
Seems to me the Delta Wing would be a very tricky car to handle. Watching it at Sebring a few years ago, they had to take these wide, looping lines into the turns and so it would take a pretty experienced hand to drive one. BHW
Indy Car testing concluded yesterday at Sebring. A stark difference to the past few years when Indy Car all but disappeared from the racing landscape during the offseason, they've finally discovered the best way to keep in the headlines is go testing throughout the winter as their CART predecessors did. http://www.racer.com/indycar/item/147708-rll-on-top-as-indycar-testing-wraps-at-sebring BHW
Yes. And, even if they didn't change from last year's spec they would still look better than the F1's with halo. They series might be going places . . . I wish for a return to the Milwaukee Mile. I never had any problems attending both Milwaukee and Road America.
The problem for Indy has always been sponsorship money, at least since the Cart break up. After the 500 interest goes down and so do $$$.
Remembering back to the CART days and the kind of money the cigarette companies were spending it was just incredible. PM, KOOL, Player's , et.al. were virtually funding most of CART with huge budgets and activations. KOOL, for example, had not only their own hospitality for their team and guests, they also had a full on hospitality for credentialed media in the paddocks where you could have breakfast right alongside Paul Tracy and Dario Franchitti. And, you could be assured that no matter how big KOOL's deal was, PM was doing something ten times bigger. BHW

The PWC race at St Pete looked like crap. Only 11 cars in the field for GT and GTA combined and I think 3 DNF'd. At least 2 were DNF for sure. The series was great just two years ago...
Very interesting to see some new names shake things up a bit. I was reading last week where this Wickens kid was complaining about how he was having a difficult time adapting to the Indy Car during tests at Sebring. Seems he found something today. Something tells me the Indy Car season is going to be epic. The St. Pete layout is short, smooth and very fast for a street circuit. One of the best street circuits I ever worked. BHW
