Well, after turn 16, they go full throttle & energy store thru T17, T18. T19, T20, all the way to braking into T1. Love this track. Best one out of the street tracks so far. I'm sure the city could open up a yacht area near by since the Caspian sea is visible from the track. Would definitely be a "Monaco 2.0".
Hey Bas, I fully understand your points here, but the way Red Bull handled this entire situation was completely out of hand and unprofessional. I am a firm believer of never washing your dirty linen in public. Yes, Renault were no angels here, but engine failures etc is part of the game. Granted, Renault were not as reliable as the rest in the hybrid era, but I just could not believe how Red Bull handled this publicly. It was really amazing, and if you have watched the F1 documentary on Netflix, Horner was constantly putting down Cyril and Renault in conferences and interviews. He attitude was extremely childish. It was like he was begging for Cyril to punch him in the face during one conference (Hungary I think). If I was Cyril, i would have probably done that.
This thread is a perfect example of how the tifosi here can have fun and take the Micky out of one of our own drivers, sebs moustache, yet if it was Elton’s haircut or body hair we had a dig at, his cheerleaders would be calling for everyone’s heads. Shows that their belief they are bullied here is total bollocks, and it’s all brought on themselves
Now he will be AT LEAST 1/2 second faster! Which means that Hamilton will shave his head and be 1 second faster .
If they where fast and unreliable you'd have a point. But they where slow and unreliable. It started civil for a long time, Red Bull got upset when they lost quite a few good results out of it due to reliability and promises of better things. Red bull did not go on the offensive straight away. They where patient. And **** Cyril. Slippery weasel.

Ferrari will bring a small package of updates in Baku: https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.ferrari-to-bring-first-step-in-sf90-development-to-baku.0PTJBl4s9FQhd32bWSUq1.html Rgds
Where did you get that number from? Williams claimed it was 378km'h via a tweet but the official timing from FIA shows only 366km'h, granted it mentions the finish line but FIA has never verified the 378 number. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date Image Unavailable, Please Login Which means the V10's are still the fastest F1 cars at a race event
Actually no, I double checked. Bottas hit 372.5km'h during the race which beat the V10 record by 2km'h but the fastest V10 was clocked @ 372.6km'h during testing in 2005 so it's still technically the fastest
Kuku-cat-chu Baku.....this "Castle" chicane just got tighter!! (Was it like this in the entry???) If there is an accident there, with a car blocking the track, the race will need to be red-flagged. How is this acceptable to the FIA?
Maybe. Or maybe they haven’t known what direction to go with the car until more recently. Not sure which.
mental. It was already very tight getting through there (but doable, and in quali especially a proper challenge). Now they've slowed it down. Whats next, a speed limit of 15mph?
