    F1 is massively over-regulated and any unique ideas are quickly outlawed. As a result the cars are too similar and all of the band-aids such as fall-apart tyres and DRS have done little to alleviate the boring processions, of which this race was yet another example. The 2019 front wings were supposed to aid following closely but of course the teams have quickly recovered down force and negated any overtaking benefit.

    The French love regulations and the French FIA is firmly in charge, run by a French president. We seem to have come full circle back to the Balestre era and it will need a major event (such as two or more teams giving up) to bring any meaningful change.

    Why would the Renault board vote to continue their regular humiliation? Why would any sponsor want to support Williams? How much longer is Lance Stroll's Dad's patience going to last?

    Just watched - or, more accurately, slept through - the race.

    Surely by now it’s obvious that the problem is not the drivers, but the team?
    The car is simply not fast enough, and the strategists are utterly fuchsing useless.
    We are now being beaten by Red Bull, and I’d say it’s purely on strategy.

    Anyone who thinks that the solution to Ferrari’s problem is to simply put Dan (or anyone else) behind the wheel has their hand on their schlong.
